This is a two-part story. (I personally think that “one self portrait each day” means just that. If you have ten really great shots from one day, first of all give yourself a good pat—you are amazingly creative or beautiful. Then submit the one single best.)
That being said, here is the first of two mundane pictures for Wednesday. The second one is linked-to below. This was New York’s first snowstorm of the season. (The City, that is. Pretty feeble, considering what they're going for upstate, breaking Guinness records and all, with 12 feet in one weather event. There’s not so much to occupy your time, upstate. Oh, just kidding! Upstate’s my native turf, after all.)
This particular Brooklyn snowfall was nasty, sleety, crunchy, but not deep. Still I did my civic duty and shoveled and salted before heading off to work. These photos also show daytime views of elements from previous photos: the peace sign, the security cam (cheap Logitech mounted on an X-10 Ninja pan base), and our wreath, in tasteful hues of brown to match the brick.

The first time in the five years we have been here.
Chris said : I have always thought I would never leave Canberra until it snowed in my backyard.
And now it has.
It feels like a miracle day, so freeing and POSSIBLE.
