Sengkang Estate, Singapore.

Taken, October 2012.

For this image, I wanted to create a shot taken at the blue hour that is completely out of focus, and yet with cityscape features that are recognizable. This is a photograph of the Sengkang HDB flats (high rise apartments). The lights you see in the foreground are from the traffic trails and the street lamps. I took several shots of this scene and this is the one that I liked best.

Rain and that sexy night lighting transforms this normally dull grey cobble into, Humm, what do you think?

Burrow Beach on a windy autumn morning.

Initially facing Howth moving towards Ireland's Eye. I was playing with Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), hoping to get a painterly/expressionist style.

It's a similar photo and location to the previous one I posted, but further up the beach, and on a much colder day.

Possibly one of the easiest (and laziest) landscape shots I've captured on Dartmoor. Taken from the footbridge crossing the River Plym into Dewerstone Wood, where I later attempted to indulge myself in more challenging landscape photography. More images to follow soon. Thanks for looking - Mk.

An interesting juxtaposition of rich green and fiery autumnal colours line the banks of the River Meavy. I love the way the slow exposure not only captures the movement of flowing water but also the swaying branches of the trees. This really helps to bring the scene to life don’t you think? Thanks for looking - Mk

Interesting rock formations at Portwrinkle beach in Cornwall, which are highlighted with this two minute long exposure.

Another one from the vault!

When all the colors seem to run together.

This is from the same location, but a different point of view as the previous photo. The light-streams on my right are from the DLR train zooming from London City Airport towards The City. The light-streams below are from traffice coming from and going to Blackwall tunnel. The tall buildings are skyscrapers in Canary Warf where many banks have their headquarters.

Interestingly, not long after i took this picture, staff at the station send me on my way as this is private property and I need permissions to take photos from here. Seriously they should have a viewing platform... it is such a fab and interesting view of London! It should be available to everyone! Thanks for letting me keep the snap I already had tho :)

Alexander Falls near Whistler, BC, Canada.

This is walking distance from my home but is between farmers' fields and no one really goes there except my family and me (including my dogs) and occasionally some of my neighbours. I reckon that probably only 20 people have been to this spot in the last 20 years. Its a tiny stream, but last winter it produced some very pretty icicles!

This was Saturday night's light over La Jolla. The place was packed so I tried to find an alternate comp. Really just an excuse to get away from everyone else in the "good spots". Hope you all have a great week ahead!!

A test shot..

At the far right is the tip of Tokyo Tower.

This road is at the other side of where I live.

Coastline off Boscastle Harbour, Cornwall

Back to the lakes for this one on Tuesday. Aira Beck in full flow after days of heavy rainfall. The leaves are all but gone here, but in other places still in an abundance. Likewise with plenty of people making the most before lockdown.

The beginning of Swallow Falls in Betws-y-Coed, North Wales

Southport Pier, Lancashire, at the blue (maybe purple) hour.

I couldn't let this one go without doing a mono conversion of it, the plumes of steam and the light reflecting on the stacks really stand out, Fiddler Ferry Power Station is the venue, situated more towards Warrington.

While we were at this spot a group of six or seven people started to gather. They apparently were there for a spiritual blessing of some sort. Not a traditional religion but something New Age! They picked a great spot for it!! Thanks for all of you who have visited and commented! Much appreciated!!

Sometimes I have to resist pulling out the 10 stop, in order to capture the true drama in the sky. What caught my eye for this composition was the S curve in the surf, ideal as a leading line. Hope you agree !!!
