A new BNSF ES44C4 leads mty ore buckets past the Jackson St. Roundhouse in St. Paul, Minn. Nick Benson and his boys and I were on the bridge to shoot the first Northstar train to SPUD when this train appeared.

This image was captured in the afternoon at Watu Karung Beach, Yogyakarta during my ACA's photo trip in year 2016.

I watched Serendipity yesterday and I just had to do one of these pictures with the word because the word is so beautiful. Anyway, I'm back on Flickr and too broke for a Pro account at the moment.. but I'm excited to be taking pictures again! :)

Archaeological Serendipity. in Barumini.

This is a typical case of serendipity.

During excavations in the hut 197, in the Nuraghe of Barumini, in search of traces of a wall or rampart, were discovered instead of interesting ceramic fragments. In fact, it seems that part of the wall was used to build the fondation of the hut 197. Everything is still under study and will be the subject of a forthcoming publication that will be presented in Barumini in the month of March 2017.

Walking through the narrow streets of Rhodes, Greece, I stepped around a corner into this scene and took this photo before I could really absorb the significance of the details, and there are many...

The expression of the old man gazing at the young woman, his cane, the goggles around the woman's neck indicating that she likely drove to the market on a scooter, the grocery bag in her hand, the flip flops on her feet, the enthusiastic dog pulling on the leash, the old arches, doors, stonework and other architectural details of the buildings, the faded colors on the walls, the birds sitting on fixtures and wires at the far end, the padlock on the door to the left, the curvilinear pattern of the street tile, the fact that door openings and thresholds are not true to a 'plumb bob' (very little is aligned) and on and on....

Serendipity: when one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely.

Could apply here. Just small scale serendipity.

Love this so much.

A totally un-posed photo of our bride.

I caught her briefly admiring her frangipani bouquet, while getting some shots of her bridesmaids. Had to stop what I was doing and just shoot her sitting there on the garden seat, under a big beautiful tree.

Okay, so it was taken by accident, but I like the effect and it's far better than an out of focus shot of my shoe!

I didn't expect to see any more sunflowers in good shape this late in the summer, but on the way out to Medina Falls I came across an unassuming field right on the highway. The aisles between the rows were wider than usual. Sunflower of alll sizes.

Basically, we can't say I designed this piece if we're talking about pre-folding thinking how it's going to look. I got several tesselations that were made without thorough thinking, on the go so to speak. And unlike other Lego ish works, this one is pure, I don't know, art?

Not the best photo trip. House Wren soloing beautifully for five minutes across a little gorge filled with brush and surrounded by trees. Couldn’t see it. Two, maybe three, Sora hollering the “whinny” call at each other in the wetlands. Couldn’t see them. Common Yellowthroat “Witchety witchety witchety” all over Baskett Slough. Couldn’t see one except for brief hops above reeds. But my “wonder what that was” pic where something small had popped down low in that little tree/bramble thing caught one. Heh.

Reminds me of May 2020 same refuge when I was trying so hard to get my first photo (with current camera, bought in 2019) of one and failed - but when I got home found out one had photobombed my Harrier Pic.

same late summer rose as yesterday, but more opened...

Early morning photography taken at the Algarrobo Norte beach in the central coast of Chile.

3 years ago I've sent my georgia rain to have new make-up... her headback and human ears never came back( and at this point i've lost my hope to have them back) I'm tryin to make her alive again.

So if some one of you eventually has an old head with human ears and don't use. just let me know. I'd prefer to trade with some custom made fashion made by me

Jan. 9 UPDATE: Note that I spent so long on this doodle that I was unable to doodle for 6 days. That's not really allowing myself time for structured serendipity, is it!?

Solo come un idrante. Emozionato come un sacchetto di plastica impigliato a un ramo.

Lonely like an hydrant. Excited like a plastic bag caught in a branch.
