Torre dell'Orso, Melendugno, LE, Salento, Puglia, Italia
Image straight out of the camera, and straight out the beach
I ask myself how many places in the World are named as "Two sisters"..
On the south side of Torre dell'Orso bay, the maritime erosion, that caused the shoreline moving, made one of the most famous and beautiful view in Salento, the two sea stacks, so similar each other to be called "The two sisters".
A local legend tells that in the same place where the two sea stacks are, two sisters died trying to save each other from drowning.
In place of the two beautiful bodies, two sea stacks were born and they looked like they were embracing.

Last Sunday I went to the Yosemite National Park. I stayed longer to see the moonrise. It was a gorgeous spectacle. This mountain was illuminated by the moon, and was reflected in the calm Merced river.

We spent some days in Kyoto, Japan. Timing was perfect for Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing. A flutist played melancholic tunes while walking through the park of To-ji, the temple in the south of Kyoto. This 120 year old cherry tree is called Fujizakura, and was transplanted from Mie Prefecture in 2006.
I processed a balanced and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.

We had some rainy days in the Swiss Alps when I visited last summer. I headed to nearby Fanas, a mountain village with 400 souls on the side of the Prättigau valley, located in the canton of Graubünden. It's fun taking photos in the rain.

Last summer I drove to the Cleveland Clinic, the building in Las Vegas that has a crooked shape. I did a wrong turn and ended up at this red light. I am glad I did.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from two RAW exposures, and removed the color saturation of all but red and orange to pop the scene.

Salón de los Embajadores, Alcázares Reales de Sevilla, Sevilla, Andalusia, Spain
The Salon de los Embajadores (The Ambassadors Room) is the centerpiece of the Royal Palaces. The Hall is covered by a majestic dome of gilded wood. Its old name of the Middle Orange Hall was due to the magnificent dome, it was rebuilt in 1427 by Diego Ruiz, the doors are original from 1366, in addition to the decoration of plasterwork and tiling of the walls.
Last June we spent a weekend in a nice historical hotel on Lago Maggiore (Lake Maggiore) in northern Italy. The Grand Hotel Majestic was built in 1870 in a classic Italian style, all golden and red. The service and food was excellent. I took this symmetry shot of the hallways, inspired by Stanley Kubrick's iconic one-point perspective.

Goðafoss is a waterfall in northern Iceland, located along the country's main ring road, not too far from Akureyri, Iceland's second largest city. Last summer we passed by this big horseshoe shaped waterfall in daytime, and witnessed a rainbow for a brief time, when the wind carried the gist from the falling water to the right place.

We spent some days in Kyoto, Japan. Timing was perfect for Hanami, or cherry blossom viewing. We went for sunset at the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Buddhist temple, located at the east side of Kyoto. The temple has a big veranda, supported by an impressive wooden structure, seen here from below when we left.
