On 10th February 2013, Trainworks rail museum at Thirlmere conducted a "Diesel Day". As well as 4001 performing shuttles to Buxton, on show were CFCLA's S300 and S311.
S311 was on display in the "amphitheatre".
Why hire a S class Mercedes with chauffeur to go, when you can go to Ascot races in style!
When i'm in a situation like this it always give me a very pleasurable sense of inverted snobbery.
I haven't felt this good since I drove into South Kensington by mistake..
