The Mercedes S-class was the standard choice for Quicksilver's chauffeur-driven hire car fleet throughout much of the 2000s. Made by Automaxx, D511 VER is the latest addition, purchased at a model railway show last weekend, which brings the S-class fleet to a dozen cars; this is one of two silver ones.

On Friday 2/12/2016, 4578s is seen leaving the closed & soon to be demolished Port Augusta (Northern) power station with B61-S317-GM27-GM10-S302 in charge. This was the second of the two movements with SSR hauling ex Leigh Creek coal wagons to NSW.

Having seen a variety of locomotives arrive & depart this location over a period of 50 plus years ranging from the GM class to the more recent 82, XRB class & V544, this was the first ever visit of a B class diesel locomotive.
