On 10th February 2013, Trainworks rail museum at Thirlmere conducted a "Diesel Day". As well as 4001 performing shuttles to Buxton, on show were CFCLA's S300 and S311.
S311 was on display in the "amphitheatre".

Officially unveiled in May 2013, the 6th generation of the S-Class had a more streamlined appearance. Some interesting features include a large font grille and LED lights used exclusively inside and out - a first in the automotive industry. Two strong converging character lines give the flanks a more sculpted look. A choice of engines included a S 350 BlueTEC diesel, a hybrid S 400 and a S 500 Plug-in Hybrid introduced in 2014. An AMG modified V8 bi-turbo and V12 bi-turbo were offered in the S 63 and S 65 respectively, this being the last and most exclusive (only 130 ex produced) as indicated by its name.

Spotted earlier this week in Barendrecht. The S 65 AMG is the top-of-the-range model of the Mercedes-sedans with a V12 producing over 600 horsepower. Mercedes equipped the S 65 with a 5G Tronic gearbox because the 7G Tronic from the 'standard' S 63 AMG was not able to withstand the torque produced by the S 65 AMG.
