This stretch ring features a large piece of faux turquoise embedded in detailed metal designs. It exudes the rustic nature of turquoise with a modern metal flair. And best of all, this faux turquoise looks so real and is a fraction of the price!

09/05/18 - Back Garden Mothing
8 new for year species was very pleasing indeed on Wednesday night after a fairly warm day with late cloud towards the evening, the temperature held up nicely.
It was great to see arguably one of the most striking of moths, the Herald. A moth that over-winters in caves, barns and outbuildings.
Four Oak-tree Pugs were like buses and unfortunately the first Red Twin-spot Carpet of the year was found dead in the trap which is unusual.
A Parornix species will be checked at a later date.
Here is last Wednesday's new for year species.

Back when, this is kind of how I envisioned the Pacific Northwest: houses clad in cedar shake (no stucco here) sitting on the rocky shore surrounded by huge evergreens and boats. Reality of course is much different except for this little spot just below the south approach to the University Bridge on Portage Bay.
Brown Rustic Rusina ferruginea in Bergen, western Norway. The most numerous species in the light-trap the last week. A rather unifrom and not the most spectacular moth.
Light & aroma, dankness, and darkness? MYSTERY* shot, no, this isn't the neglected corner of their lobby, but just a oportunity to practice blind compostion. Lacking light was the real challenge. Zooming 17 feet from below, Wagon Wheel's namesake was WALT'S thrift, why this obscure corner? Hint. Long legged Quadriped reside here. CURIOSITY~although most wouldn't see this.
