A VSTP appeared this morning from Crewe to WH Davis. Always interesting to see what is going into the wagon workshops. 37218 rumbles down platform 1 working 6E28 0933 Crewe South Yard to Shirebrook Davis & Son.

The letter box crop slightly enforced by the Sony's inability to cope with the contrasting sky, or my inability to get the settings right. I thought about a replacement sky for 2 seconds. In my defence the sun was in and out.

This narrowband image was photographed using the QHY Minicam8m. My favorite look was achieved by mapping hydrogen to red, oxygen to green and sulfur to blue.

The colors you see are not random. They represent the true chemical composition of the nebula and provide a glimpse at structures, such as the wavy flocking at right, that would otherwise be hidden from view.

a solitary figure jogs along the sea promenade of portixol in palma de mallorca. the silhouette against the glimmering sea is framed by an overhanging tree and the vast, cloud-strewn sky. the tranquility of the scene is accentuated by the distant ship and the gentle caress of the evening light.

A neighbour said hello, and commented "looks like I'll be straightening the pictures on the wall when I come home!"

I'm "running by" to say hi! I've not posted for ages because my beloved partner has become quite ill, leaving me with little time for Flickr or camera work. I have not forgotten you, in fact, I miss your interaction and inspirational photography very, very much.

I took this image during spring migration. This wee sandpiper kept running up and down the shoreline paying little attention to anything except hunting for food.
