CSX 8619, one of four operating SD50-3's on CSX, charges north at Ottawa, Ohio. Her and an EMD sister (rebuilt SD40-3) are making easy work of the 11253 tons tied to the drawbar.
Trumpeter Swans need a good running start on water to get airborne, but it can be a little tricky when they attempt it on ice like this one. Maybe those tiny claws help a little.
As viewed from Davis Bay, on the Sunshine Coast of BC, this one bright cloud flew through the sky like a superhero. As if lighter than air (pun intended) it quickly pierced the gauntlet of darkness that surrounded its path.
This short event was most interesting to watch as the cloud crossed the atmosphere without dissipating. Although it continued to morph in shape through out its journey, it never lost the eye catching brilliance that initially drew my attention.
For my NOSTALGIA album.

Photo not taken by me.
I grew up in San Angelo, and Rex lived there for awhile as well and we became friends, a friendship that has lasted through the years and across the miles as we both moved to different states many years ago.
When he goes back to visit San Angelo he sends me photos of the town, my old house, etc.
This is the Concho River which runs through town, and a running path which stretches 4 or 5 miles from one side of town to the other. And take note of that footbridge; across that footbridge into Sunken Garden Park and then it was only 3 blocks to my old house, the childhood home where I grew up and inherited when my folks passed away.
I've run across that footbridge, and on that footpath, for thousands of miles across the years. Used to run 5-10 miles a day, everyday, for years and years.
Lots of fond memories come back looking at this pic. Thanks, Rex, for providing it.
A grizzly cub rushes through the water to join his mother after sensing her alarm at the presence of a male bear in the area, Chilko Lake, BC. Second year cubs have longer 'leashes' to explore a little more, but the tie to mom is still strong.

Seeing old Nyx running towards me was so lovely ! He's a Utonagan, and is old now, aged 10. He was running for the sheer joy of it, just like the dog I've known since he was only 3. He's a member of my 'extended family' and came to visit on my birthday in 2015 when this was taken.
The Utonagan is a breed of dog that resembles a wolf, but in fact is a mix of three breeds of domestic dog: Alaskan Malamute, German Shepherd, and Siberian Husky. Utonagans love the company of people and also socialize well with cats and smaller dogs.
Processed with Topaz Glow - a setting called 'Dizzy' - rather apt in the circumstances, I thought :o). Fly away grass and flowers achieved in Picasa Photo Editor.
Hope you like him !
An Autumn day, a walk through the park and an opportunity opens up to create an interesting landscape shot. "It just keeps running", runs through my head as the Bow River never stops. A lesson for me I think too, keep moving and don't sit still, just keep running.
Running about 2 hours late, 66846 roars past Blea Moor with the 12.58 Carlisle - Chirk logs on Tue 30th March 2021.
This Grizzly was observed running along railroad tracks in Canada's Banff National Park. These bears loiter around railroad tracks, consuming fallen grain. Not uncommonly, they are killed by oncoming trains. BTW: It is highly unusual to capture an image of a bear with all 4 feet off the ground.
Running on the boardwalk during a mixed snow and rain storm. This shot was taken in Halifax, NS at the waterfront.

Tick Tock! Tick Tock!
You are running late for a very important date in your dream.
Nothing is worse than running late for an important engagement. Dreaming you are late can mean things are not going according to plan, your time is running out for something that you wanted to have or aspire to in your life. Whatever it is that is creating this sense of urgency in your life, it is time for you to invest more time in accomplishing it. Time to make a plan, and if you’ve already done that, it is certainly time to revise the one you have made.
