Der Mann mit der Kamera hielt ca. 200-300m durch, bevor er die "Verfolgung" des (führenden) Läufers abbrechen musste. Respekt!

Not much around the garden today but I did spot this Psyllid Bug. It was running to get under the cover of the petal.

The Midland Camera club planned and executed a wonderful trip to the Jordan Valley and Leelanau peninsula in pursuit of Fall colors, landscapes, farms, sand dunes, Lake Michigan. lighthouses, and a vast assortment of interesting subjects to photograph. All the members came home with a nice collection of photographs and much joy in the adventure spent together. Visit our viewing site to see the work of the members.

Praying Mantis

This one moved off as it saw me approach. It stopped, briefly, on the back of an Ivy leaf - keeping an eye on me - long enough to get this image.

We spend so much time ignoring God,

and trying to run away from Him.

Why can't we be what He

wants us to be?

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I was in town today for the European Championship Men's Cycling Road Race and it was epic! The city will feel so empty now that the European Championship is over - I just loved this shot though, enjoy!

I'm sure many of us have done it - running to attempt to capture a location with great light. That was the case here - had just gotten out of the car after a rain shower and spotted a small bit of rainbow close to this telephone mast. So I ran 200 metres up the hill as fast as I could as the rainbow was spreading across the sky. Assuming this was likely to be a fleeting event, I aimed my run for the spot with the best symmetry between the mast and the rainbow and took the shot, not taking the time to bother with the tripod. And it didn't last long! The low morning sunshine really helped the Red Cuillin hills in behind glow.
