The glowing oval under this runners shirt caught my eye.
I assume its some form of heart monitor; presumably linked to an "app" on his watch or phone.
I must be old - I remember when all you needed was a pair of trainers (called plimsolls or running shoes back then).

The Midland Camera club planned and executed a wonderful trip to the Jordan Valley and Leelanau peninsula in pursuit of Fall colors, landscapes, farms, sand dunes, Lake Michigan. lighthouses, and a vast assortment of interesting subjects to photograph. Kicking up what snow had fallen during the morning hours, 2 onlookers take in a late CN M399 as it hustles west by the depot in Durand, heading toward Battle Creek.
Dartmouth local 509 heads back to the yard with a healthy cut of autos to go west from Autoport. The pair of GP40-2Ws are passing Woodside Terminal, where for a very brief portion the road parallels the track making it look like street running. 9555 really stood the test of time, as it remained in Dartmouth until just yesterday morning when we took it to Moncton on 407, completely dead. It’s been said before that Halifax is the place that power goes to die…and to be honest, it’s not a huge stretch of the truth!
