The Lidl Run Kildare Events 2013 were held at the Curragh Racecourse, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 12th May 2013. There were three events: a 10KM, a half marathon, and a full marathon. This is a selection of photographs which includes all events. The photographs are taken from the start and finish of the marathon, the finish of the 10KM, and the finish of the half marathon. Due to the large numbers participating we did not manage to photograph everyone - which was not helped by the weather. Congratulations to Jo Cawley and her RunKildare crew for another great event. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of the many happy participants.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: There were approximately 3,000 participants over the 3 race events - there were runners, joggers, and walkers participating.
Weather: A cold breezy morning with heavy rain at the start. The weather dried up for the 10KM and the Half Marathon races
Course: This is an undulating course with some good flat stretches on the Curragh.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. Lands Run Falls is a short hike from Skyline Drive in the North District of Shenandoah National Park (SNP). Park in the lot on the west side of Skyline Drive and hike 0.6 mile down Lands Run Fire Road to Lands Run. The waterfall is on the right side of the fire road and flows downhill (away from you). For a better view, scramble down the bank on either side.
It was raining on and off on this particular day so I was choosing with an umbrella in hand.

As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!

But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. The Lidl Run Kildare Events 2013 were held at the Curragh Racecourse, Newbridge, Co. Kildare, Ireland on Sunday 12th May 2013. There were three events: a 10KM, a half marathon, and a full marathon. This is a selection of photographs which includes all events. The photographs are taken from the start and finish of the marathon, the finish of the 10KM, and the finish of the half marathon. Due to the large numbers participating we did not manage to photograph everyone - which was not helped by the weather. Congratulations to Jo Cawley and her RunKildare crew for another great event. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of the many happy participants.

Overall Race Summary
Participants: There were approximately 3,000 participants over the 3 race events - there were runners, joggers, and walkers participating.
Weather: A cold breezy morning with heavy rain at the start. The weather dried up for the 10KM and the Half Marathon races
Course: This is an undulating course with some good flat stretches on the Curragh.

Soyuz ready for launch from Europe’s Spaceport
A complete dry-run will be performed to test the ground facilities and their compatibility with the launcher, 29 April 2011, Europe’s Spaceport (French Guiana).
A strategic cooperation between Europe and Russia, the Soyuz medium-class launcher, will be ready for launch at the CSG in 2011.

Took part in the Culloden Run - a 17.46K run along then single-track roads on the perimeter of the Culloden Battlefield and under the Culloden Viaduct. I found it a tough run as I've never run more than at 10km at race pace before - all other long runs have been run at about 2 mins/km slower than today. The route had three hills, with a total of 230m of ascent, but was very scenic. I'm chuffed with my finish time of 1hr 41 mins.

So rät das Blog "Jumping in Art Museums" dazu, vor Kunstwerken in die Luft zu springen und diesen Augenblick fotografisch festzuhalten. Diesen Aufruf einer gewissen Allison aus Chicago sind bereits einige Menschen gefolgt. Hier allerdings fehlt der theoretische Hintergrund, und auch der sportliche Ehrgeiz fehlt, den die Außenseiter in Jean-Luc Godards Film "Bande à part" antreibt, die in neun Minuten und 43 Sekunden durch den Louvre rennen. Nein, gesprungen werden soll "aus Freude". Dabei ließe sich auch in der Schwebe, über allem, gewiss bestens diskutieren.
