I know that you've been hurt before and

You hide your face with your disguise

'Cause someone filled your head with lies

But you don't have to worry this time

No, you don't have to worry

'Cause I would never let you down

I will never let you fade away another day

Don't run away, run away

Lyrics: youtu.be/Lm96fSCRkrk

When two faithful eyes close forever,

and you have to go home without him.

with a halter in your hand, and your heart full of pain.

then you try to convince yourself i was not allowed to be selfish you were old and i had to let you go run free i will never forget you in my heart forever🐴❤️

Wadi Run desert, Jordania

Wadi Rum is a protected area covering 720 square kilometers of dramatic desert wilderness in the south of Jordan. Huge mountains of sandstone and granite emerge, sheer-sided, from wide sandy valleys to reach heights of 1700 meters and more. Narrow canyons and fissures cut deep into the mountains and many conceal ancient rock drawings etched by the peoples of the desert over millennia. Bedouin tribes still live among the mountains of Rum and their large goat-hair tents are a special feature of the landscape

To safeguard its unique desert landscape, Wadi Rum was declared a protected area in1998 and an intensive conservation programme is now underway.

This is a sequence of a black wolf in mid-stride on the run. (Taken in a constrained environment).

The last run of the Lake Country Limited was eastbound at Spring Grove on Wissor trackage. SOO 1003 was sitting in the siding waiting for the "Janesville Javelin" to pass through town for the final time.

After the final run of Amtrak 344 cleared, the SOO 1003 would pull out onto the main for an excursion to Janesville.

Looking Close... on Friday: Games

I was inspired by the Olympic Games and remembered this vintage miniature of this little boy ornament that I bought on the thrift store years ago. I knew it would come in handy one day. And yes, I love soccer! ⚽ ¡Gool!

While I was out in Arizona on a non-train related vacation, I saw a Facebook post about the Grand Canyon Railway releasing an F40PH painted to celebrate the 250th year of the United States of America. As luck would have it, the innaugural run of it would line up perfectly with our drive home. Here it is departing Williams, AZ, heading to the Grand Canyon.

This mink was going for a run on this fourth day of spring. There was still lots of thin ice on Costello Creek in Algonquin Park to keep him above water. I wish I was as confident and capable walking on the ice! There was lots of it on the streets in the Ottawa region.

Montana Rail Link unveiled a specially wrapped veterans tribute unit on Nov. 6, 2020. MRL 4407 is seen leading the Gas Local on its first run in the new wrap.

Not part of my Ohio waterfall series; I shot this Pittsburgh area waterfall yesterday.

I need to set an hour or two aside for editing the Ohio photos to get them published.

During the Ohio shoot last week, I noticed that my 4-stop ND filter was still too bright while my 10-stop was way too dark, so I ordered a 6-stop. This was the first time I shot with a 6-stop. If you are thinking of getting an ND filter, 6 is the perfect choice for falls.

Tripod. Not cropped. Not HDR. Zoom in for good luck. :)

LTV Steel Mining Company ran their last ore train on July 19, 2001, shown here throttling up at Sarto on its way to Taconite Harbor with a load of pellet chips and fines. Cliffs Erie would run a few trains in subsequent years but this was the last under LTV ownership. F9A 4211 is now at the LSRM.
