A Scottish railway line, in the style of Hitchcock's film The 39 Steps, film noir. At Newtonmore, Scotland
When I realized that the sunrise was going to be better than I had excpected, I had to run to get to a better vantage point. Yesterday's and today's images were the result of my running. It was fun!
Snow in Hunt Valley, Maryland along Western Run. Was able to get out for a few minutes into the snow and snap some captures. Nice to be able to do after working in the office while the snow fell across Baltimore today.
With their final consist build, the A&O departs south through Berkley Run Junction. Here, the CSX Mountain Subdivision ends and the train will continue its journey over the Cowen Subdivision, a CSX line on long-term lease to the A&O.
Technically, I guess they're hatched to run. Regardless, the greater roadrunner is aptly named. They can run at quite a pace. We've seen them in the deep desert or suburban parks like this one. Their tails and crest seem to be quite dynamic - always raising and lowering. Cool birds.
