Despite the weather being rather dull and dreary on this day down the beach I am very happy with my new lens the Canon 300mm
I can see me having a lot of fun with this. Almost as much as Scandal is having in this picture :)

I found this little guy snacking away in the arboretum and I decided to take a picture of him, hoping that he wouldn't notice. He did, so he got ready to run as he saw me. If you look closely into his eye, you can vaguely see my reflection!
I'm gonna run to you
I'm gonna come to you
I wanna find you
in everything that I do
I'm gonna run to you
I'm gonna count on you
I'm gonna follow
baby, what else can I do?

So many of these signs are personal works of art to owners. No two are alike.

37 262 and 37261 run around their coaching stock at Thurso after arriving on the early morning service from Inverness on 22 July 1983.
Double headers were not unusual between Inverness and Georgemas Junction, used as a means of swapping the loco that would work the other portion at the split for Wick/Thurso. However double headers into Thurso on service trains were rare.
In this instance one of the locos was found to have brake issues when split at Georgemas and unable to work on its own. A bus was found for the Wick passengers and the pair worked to Thurso then back to Inverness. A replacement was sent north on the service we passed at Brora.
With passengers from a previous train making their way along a makeshift exit pathway 415 077 passes the run down station building at Rákosrendező working a G71 service to Vac. The building is currently disused with ticketing facilities and staff accommodation now located in a portakabin. A post apocalyptic station is one of the reviews on Google Maps, pretty spot on in my opinion.
That's no ordinary Z. That's a "run-through" train. A product of the BNSF merger, this train and its crew originated at Clovis, NM on the old Santa Fe and they'll tieup in Childress, TX on the former BN. At the moment, despite the appearance of speed (thanks to the grain dust), they're approaching the end of restricted limits on the former-BN at Amarillo. As you can see, the conductor is getting things lined out with the dispatcher for their track warrant-controlled trip down the Red River Sub. In all likelihood, these fellas hail from Slaton, as the equity in the Clovis-based pool belongs primarily to them. Equity? Well, this traffic used to run via Slaton, Sweetwater, Brownwood and Dublin prior to the merger, so the work "belongs" to them.
(Aside: What do you do with an old scan that just isn't quite right? You run it through the software like crazy and cross your fingers. This one almost got posted in B&W.)

You better run all day and run all night
Keep your dirty feelings deep inside
And if you're taking your girlfriend out tonight
You'd better park the car well out of sight
'Cause if they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box
You better run (Pink Floyd the Wall)
