Thursday night, students in their undies take over the UA Mall. The people playing soccer and rugby were shooed out of the way by a near birthday suit wearing stampede of college aged people. As an ice breaker for homecoming, hundreds of students signed up to run a round trip between Campbell and Park, starting on the UA Mall.

Hinckston Run Falls drops 60 feet off of stone cliffs into an impressive pool below. According to information online, Hinckston Run Falls is not naturally occurring, but was created when Hinckston Run Reservoir was created in 1904. The route of Hinckston Run was altered and instead directed to flow over these cliffs before continuing on its regular path towards the Conemaugh River.
When we heard the air raid warnings sound, we would put our duffle coats over our heads, and run for home

So I decided to do a little series of photos today with Kimberly for a concept I have. It's called "the run" and should contain several photos that I'll upload over the next several days.
The sun is sleeping quietly
Once upon a century
Wistful oceans calm and red
Ardent caresses laid to rest
For my dreams I hold my life
For wishes I behold my night
The truth at the end of time
Losing faith makes a crime
I wish for this night-time
to last for a lifetime
The darkness around me
Shores of a solar sea
Oh how I wish to go down with the sun
Sleeping
Weeping
With you
Sorrow has a human heart
From my god it will depart
I'd sail before a thousand moons
Never finding where to go
Two hundred twenty-two days of light
Will be desired by a night
A moment for the poet's play
Until there's nothing left to say
...
" Sleeping sun ".
While you still can...that's the thought that raced through my head as I ventured inside this old receiving vault. Outside was warmth, color and life. Inside was cold, darkness and death. I kept imagining the gate slamming shut and being entombed. It felt good to emerge back into the light.

Give me a time to run
I'm so much in my freedom
Life is of sadness and fun
Contributing ways asylum
Gladness gives me laughter
Sadness only its deep pain
What is this existence after?
Where shall they both reign?
Tomorrow is always coming
Giving its time to share
Some of it is just benumbing
Without its street's fare
Life has its ups and down
With its beauty and ugliness
Each can become a hometown
With its many penurious
Give me a time to laugh
Everything becomes easier
Sometimes it isn't enough
When life gets much breezier
Give muddy bosom - sunset
For golden it will become
If futures in equals are meet
To blooms of the earth some

Despite the weather being rather dull and dreary on this day down the beach I am very happy with my new lens the Canon 300mm
I can see me having a lot of fun with this. Almost as much as Scandal is having in this picture :)

ON THE RUN :
OK to say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. All of you that know me know that I have wanted an image of a pheasant in the wild. Well, you just don't see them here in SC (that I know of).
About 3 weeks ago while shooting eagles and other birds I heard a sound and 2 pheasants flew right above my head. They were long gone before I could react.
Today I had a break for an hour and went up to the dam. It was pouring rain and I was blessed to get a couple images!
