Poor little guy---they make it here just as it gets warm, then Mother Nature pulls the rug out from under them and we have a hard freeze. They seem to be fine, if hungrier than usual (they're actually sharing feeders instead of being territorial).

finishing. this hulking bird (roughly 18 inches tall) was pounding the
snot out of some wooden stepping stones i have right next to the house.
We have a larger than usual group of hummingbirds this year, at least two males at 4-6 females. Wait until the babies fledge!

Evidently He got tired of drinking all the sugga water! He drank half today LOL -He liked it better than the honeysuckle!!

L'il Ruby-throated Hummer still hanging around. This one is kind of easy to ID because of a slight bulge/bend in it's beak.

first time able to catch one ..in the yard ,, usually stay for a day ,, once in the spring and now late summer ,, i suspect it is traveling south for the winter ..
