Just being silly! The green on the bird blended in with the green on the plants! I thought it was cute, first time I had seen the hummingbird drink from this feeder.
A ruby throated hummingbird hovers just long enough to have a picture taken. Tried for quite some time to get an image of it feeding at flowers, but was not successful. I'll keep trying.
...I really cropped out this image to show the bug this Ruby-Throated Hummingbird had left it's perch for. Some 60 yards / 55 Meters away.
A female ruby throated hummingbird perched in a butterfly bush. She's keeping watch making sure nothing goes near "her" cardinal flower.

The shot of this female was taken through tinted glass, so it's a bit grainy.
It is the only species of hummingbird that regularly nests east of the Mississippi River in North America.

Poor little guy---they make it here just as it gets warm, then Mother Nature pulls the rug out from under them and we have a hard freeze. They seem to be fine, if hungrier than usual (they're actually sharing feeders instead of being territorial).
