Bell and Ross when they were made by Sinn. Look at the second hand and then the exposure time. At least I know its in sync.
Union Bay, Seattle, WA - 1 Dec 2019 - Western Washington's first and Washington's third Ross's Gull lived just a few hours after being discovered by Netta Smith at Marsh Island and viewed by a few dozen lucky birders who were close enough to make it over in time to see it before it was caught and eaten by a Bald Eagle.
A Mallard-sized white goose hanging out with a large flock of Canada Geese. Very unusual in my area.
Quatie (Elizabeth Brown Henley) was the wife of United Cherokee Nation chief John Ross. She died on February 1, 1839, on the steamboat Victoria near Little Rock, Arkansas, while traveling the "Water Route" of the Trail of Tears. Folklore suggests she gave up her blanket to a child before dying herself of pneumonia.
Quatie was the daughter of Thomas Brown and Elizabeth Martin. She married twice. She had a daughter with her first husband, and five more children with John Ross following their marriage in 1813. John Ross and Quatie owned a 200-acre farm in northern Georgia when they were forced off their land to be resettled with 17,000 other Cherokees in the Indian Territory (Oklahoma).

On a day out with Laura in the main gallery of the museum. This is truly an amazing building. The gallery is all iron beams and glass roof, producing a beautiful light for photos and, of course, a wonderful place to meet.

So, after thinking my shoot with Ross went shockingly the week previous, we decided to meet up again and take a couple of shots.
However, we ended up going to see Avatar in 3D and I must say that despite the plotline not really representing much it is visually stunning and I hope James Cameron does go through on a sequel just so I can witness that level of visual beauty in the cinema again.
We then went to Ashton Lane in the West End to have a few drinks.

Near Ross Creek I follow the tide out as the warm light from the setting sun paints the incredible basalt formations and the racing creek at my feet.
A little about Ross, My good friend since the seventies... The times we have had... : ) He is a Viet Nam vet who still lives with the war every day... : ( It's ironic that a man of peace and a man of war can be so close... This should show anything is possible...
