Historic Fort Ross perches on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, remnants of a dead Russian Empire, left in complete desolation on this remote and rugged stretch of the California coastline, in Sonoma County. This Winter aerial view from 100 meters above is comprised of two stitched exposure brackets.
Meet Ross who came, with his team, to install a new soakaway in our front garden. Chester came too although it was some time before I realised he was there, so quiet in the van, occasionally surveying the scene from the driver's window.
He is a French/English bulldog, only 2 years old, calm and obedient and I was surprised to learn that he is a rescue dog. Ross told me that he has put a lot of effort into training and that Chester goes everywhere with him.
I could not resist asking for a portrait of them together. The van seemed an appropriate backdrop. Chester also had a little walk around the garden and sat, in response to my 'Sit', near the front porch - but I had to be quick to capture that shot.

This is a shot of the wonderful colonial buildings in the historic township of Ross in the centre of Tasmania with many of the old buildings dating back to the mid 1800s. The car dates back to 1932 and is an old Ford V8 convertible sedan.

A pseudo-forced perspective shot of a little 1/32 scale model Ford, set against the background of Ross in Tasmania as it was in around 2015. Given a slight sepia look for a more historic look and feel.
Fort Ross, originally Fortress Ross, is a former Russian establishment on the west coast of North America in what is now Sonoma County, California. It was the hub of the southernmost Russian settlements in North America from 1812 to 1841
After seeing Marit's amazing block for Amy's photography theme I couldn't wait to make this block.
I took some polaroids on our walk around the park--sorry about that one that didn't turn out--but we all know how often that happens! =)

First built in 1792 the Ross Bridge is located in the small village of Comrie in Scotland. This village and parish are located in the southern Highlands of Scotland at the western end of the Strathearn district of Perth and Kinross. It is a historic conservation village that was once visited by many notable individuals - Robert the Bruce (1274–1329), King of Scotland, the outlaw Rob Roy McGregor (1671–1734) and Scotland's renowned national poet Robert Burns (1759–1796 to name but a few.

Ross Morrison has been my friend since the early 70's. He got out of the Army. I got out of the Navy. We met on a street corner in our home town and have been friends since. We don't even fight over the Army - Navy footbal games : ) If you look at the Ross Album you might see he has been my favorite model. He sure does like this hat. flic.kr/s/aHsmoSsKaS If anyone's curious Ross drove a tank. I was on a Destroyer the USS Davis out of Charlston S.C.

Ross Rowland sits in the cab of his beloved C&O 614 on June 8th, 2025 shortly after the historic 4-8-4 arrived on the Strasburg Railroad's property at the Leaman Place interchange.
He came down to Strasburg to celebrate the sucessful move of the 614 and to present a cerimonial handoff to its new owner: RJD America.
Just a little over a month later on July 19th, 2025 Ross passed away following a brief battle with cancer.

He’s also a new oc and he’s Peppers new man.
But yeah his best friend is Kurayami so hopefully I can draw them together.
Drawing isn’t as easy as it used to be. I’m using a ton of references and stuff and even then I don’t like my pieces 100% but it’s okay, I’ve had a couple months where I didn’t draw, som I’m getting back into it 👌
But yeah I’m super happy because Ross is new and so is Kurayami and their designs are beautiful and I’m super excited to show you all!
Hope you like! Also have you found the Flickr Easter egg?
