Here's another comp from the falls rainbow. This is taken with a 14mm Rokinon. This has the best light of all of them that include the rainbow.

Milky Way as seen from Mono Lake in Lee Vining, CA.

. These celestial lights are really something to behold in person. :: On the foreground you'll see the magnificent tufa towers ; on the left side is the calm and peaceful waters of Mono Lake while it embraces the night sky that illuminates its faithful towers.

A star trail is a type of photograph that utilizes long-exposure times to capture the apparent motion of stars in the night sky due to the rotation of the Earth. A star trail photograph shows individual stars as streaks across the image, with longer exposures resulting in longer streaks.

This was taken with a canon t3i with a 14mm rokinon @ F3.5 ISO 800 Exposure of 30 seconds. A total of 62 frames shot and stacked.

Notes about this shot:

1. About 1/3 of this image isn't real, it's a reflection.

2. Raccoons are awesome rooftoppers.

3. I played around way too much in Lightroom.

4. Good times were had by all, especially the raccoon.

5. Press "L"

Near Naubinway is a scenic stop along Lake Michigan with these great limestone boulders. The sky was very blue as the moon was up already.

Not sure how this looks for you guys, but I think there is a little bit to much noise unfortunately. Even so, would have been a neat shot

Shooting star/meteor through the night sky during the Perseids Meteor Shower.

Part of the Milky Way and also the cluster Pleadeis making their way into the picture as well.

There were around 100 meteors per hour during the peak nights of the meteor showers. Absolutely awesome watching it from the observatory outside of Buffalo, NY.

My first timelapse! I took this Monday morning at Lower Sardine Lake in Tahoe National Forest. I used my Canon 6D, Rokinon 14mm at f/2.8, ISO 6400, and took 30 second exposures with 1 second intervals, 324 frames at 12 fps for 26 seconds of video. The intervalometer is an inexpensive Aputure AP-TR3C.

You can see towards the middle of the video the moon rises at 24% illumination, lighting some of the foreground. Then we enter the blue hour around 4am at the very end. Time consuming, but lots of fun! Make sure to watch in HD :)

Lost Lake State Park Oregon, August 19th. After Google directing me onto an unmaintained gravel road I finally arrived. A few fellow night photographers around but we all managed to get along. It was a clear warm night with only a breath of wind.
