Ion Cannon Bunker
The Ion Cannon Bunker is a raised structure in the centre of a snow filled field. At the side there is a crashed Gunship, and trenches which provides great cover for attackers.
There are two sets of stairs which act as entrances and exits, but the windows can be climbed through.
The command post can also be taken from the roof making it very hard to defend. By heading to the large opening you will be lead to the Ion Cannon Hangar, and by entering the small corridor you will find the Control Room.
One of the rare post OT droids that has not only character but a remarkably original design as well. Among the best in the franchise.
I like this Bandai 1:12 scale model version very much. My paintjob on it isn’t exactly perfect but it only shows in an extreme closeup like this. Actually I only noticed it when I took this photograph. It kinda looks intentional though, as if K-2SO had a cast iron head, or something like that.

I designed additional removable landing gear for all 3 of them, and they're perfectly sized to my mini-scale Millennium Falcon and Imperial Shuttle!

"Oh, it's... beautiful"
Director Orson Krennic inside the Main Overbridge aboard the first Death Star occupying the planet Scarif
This scene was made in a collaboration between my fellow friend tz_machine, who brought this scene to life and me, who designed the Overbridge MOC itself. When we first got images of the movie Rogue One back in 2016, I instantly fall in love with the one where Krennic stood inside the Overbridge in his imperial outfit looking directly into the camera.
Rogue One is one of my favorite Star Wars movies and it’s visuals are spectacular! Thus I had to design the Overbridge, which was first seen in A New Hope from 1977, where Tarkin ordered to destroy Alderaan.
The MOC contains a total of 2415 pieces.

This is a diorama of the Battle of Scarif, centered on my own model of the Imperial Cargo Shuttle "Rogue One". I Imagine an alternate ending with Jyn Erso and Cassian Andor about to board the Rogue One. Can they escape with the blueprints from the mighty Death Star?
I built this diorama for the LEGO Ideas Star Wars Battles contest.
Finally got my hands on some Star Wars: Rogue One LEGO sets.
This K-2SO figure is the first buldable figure I've ever purchased, and the thing is awesome. It's much taller than I was anticipating, but the build and articulation are both wonderful. Chances are I'll be posting lost more photos of him in the future, if I can find other droids for him to play with that is.
Appearance wise, K-2SO is much different from The Force Awaken's BB-8 which we've all come to love. I can't wait to learn more about his character, especially with Alan Tudyk voicing him.
See you in December, Rogue One.
Kind of strange situation. The cinema in which I watched the Star Wars spin off is just 30 meters away from the spot of the terror attack yesterday. There was still lots of police outside on the street and the cinema was kind of empty. Still unbelievable that 12 people were killed here yesterday. But we ordered our tickets a week ago and life has to go on...
The movie was really great. It was much better than episode 7. A good plot and nice actors and I really liked the end. When I left the cinema I felt fantastic and was ready to join the rebellion army to fight against the empire, lol.

"Rogue One", the newest Star Wars movie was a choice Kerri, Don and I might not have chosen but we had a really good time with Doug explaining all the parts that we didn't get. Doing things in a different way is one of the little things in life that make it all new again.
(I took this photo in the theater just as the movie started and was surprised it turned out with no flash.)

"I thought they smelled bad on the outside!"
―Han Solo — (audio) Listen (file info)[src]
Tauntauns (pronounced /ˈtɔːn-tɔːn/) were a species of non-sentient reptomammals native to the snowy plains of Hoth. They were used by members of the Rebel Alliance after they domesticated some of them when they built their new headquarters on Hoth. Jabba Desilijic Tiure kept a stuffed tauntaun head in his palace beside Han Solo, who was at the time frozen in carbonite.
This photo of the MOC highlights the two interior spaces which can be accessed by removing two side panels. This concept was inspired by an image from a Star Wars Visual Dictionary and I am very happy with how the feature turned out. The lower deck also features two Power-Functions lights. Although they are quite dim I think they add a nice layer of detail to the MOC. However I wasn't able to include any on the upper deck, mainly due to the the fact that I only own one pair. The battery box is housed in what would be the cargo bay, I decided not to included any access to this area in the MOC as it is not featured in the film.

"Welcome to Yavin 4....There are cells gathered here from every corner of the galaxy."
―Rebel Captain Garazeb Orrelios
Yavin 4, also known as Yavin, was the jungle-covered fourth moon in orbit around the red gas giant Yavin Prime.
Prior to and during the Galactic Civil War, it hosted the headquarters of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, a group of resistance fighters that opposed the dominant Galactic Empire.
Following a major battle that took place around Yavin, the Alliance went on the run, and eventually relocated its headquarters to Hoth.
The surface of Yavin 4 was divided into several continental masses, two of which were Starloft and Wetyin. Notable natural formations included Massassi Valley, Skygazer Hill, and the Ferra Groves. The verdant world had a comfortable, temperate climate but a challenging ecosystem and dangerous predators.
The moon's landmasses were covered by dense jungles and rain forests whose flora included purple-barked Massassi trees, grenade fungi, bioluminescent orchids, and climbing ferns. Yavin 4 also had swampy areas.
The moon, however, was completely lacking in any mineral resources of significance.
While awkward looking from underneath, the Tie Striker is beautiful and...striking from above. It was easily the best new ship from Rogue One.
This design is to minifig scale and has room for both the pilot and the bombardier in the rear. In addition, I was able to include pivoting wings that do hold their position. A very fun build.
"Soldiers need to warm up with an energy generator so as not to freeze to death on the cold nights of that frozen planet."
From space, the planet of Hoth looked like a pale blue orb due to its dense snow and ice covering. Five planets existed between Hoth and its sun, while an asteroid belt surrounded the planet with meteors occasionally striking the surface.
Most of its surface was covered with glaciers and frozen ice plains. Another third of the planet was covered by oceans. The temperature, although always frigid, was known to drop to -60°C come nightfall.
A hologram was a three-dimensional visual projection of an object or data, most commonly including maps, technical plans or other information. The type and quality of the holographic image projected varied widely, and holograms could be static or moving, live or recorded, with or without sound, large or small, and colored or monochrome. Many of these attributes were determined by the quality of the original recording or broadcast, as well as the holoprojector being used to display it.
Holograms were used for many different purposes, including entertainment, military planning, or political speeches, and as such touched the lives of nearly every being in the galaxy. Members of the Jedi High Council dispatched to missions on remote worlds could regularly participate in Council meetings held at the Jedi Temple by appearing as holograms.
"Let's take advantage of the fog to land and not be seen by the imperial troops."
Garven "Dave" Dreis
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain." - Roy Batty, Blade Runner
"Mos Eisley Spaceport. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
―Obi-Wan Kenobi, to Luke Skywalker
Mos Eisley, formerly known as Eisley, was a large spaceport town on the planet Tatooine. It was the largest settlement on the planet and generally known as the "armpit of the galaxy".
"My lord, the fleet has moved out of lightspeed. Com-scan has detected an energy field protecting an area of the sixth planet of the Hoth system. The field is strong enough to deflect any bombardment."
"The Rebels are alerted to our presence. Admiral Ozzel came out of lightspeed too close to the system."
"He...He felt surprise was wiser—"
"He is as clumsy as he is stupid. General, prepare your troops for a surface attack."
"Yes, my Lord."

Yavin 4's large, sprawling tropical jungles teemed with an abundance of life.

The K79-S80 Imperial Troop Transport (ITT), also known as the RTT or Recon transport, was a boxy repulsorlift ground assault vehicle used by the Galactic Empire. Developed by Ubrikkian Industries, it was used to either move Imperial stormtroopers in, or to move prisoners out. Despite not being designed for combat, the Imperial Troop Transport was fitted with two forward laser guns, and one dorsal twin laser turret.
K-2SO went for a wander through the fields over yonder. My lego model was a really fun subject to photograph in a soft set during the golden hour. I have several more of these shots to come.

"It was a Lambda-class shuttle. You can tell by the sound of the engines—"
―Thane Kyrell
The day will be bad when it starts with a snow storm.
The Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, also known as the Lambda-class shuttle, Imperial Lambda, Imperial Transport or the Imperial Shuttle, was a multi-purpose transport with a trihedral foil design used by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War, and was considered an elegant departure from the standards of brutish Imperial engineering.
The shuttles were often used by high-ranking Imperial officers and such dignitaries as Darth Vader and Emperor Sheev Palpatine, but were more commonly found ferrying stormtroopers or cargo

―The Armorer, to the Tribe
Making Of in my Instagram @antonio_hidalgo_balerma
"The Armorer" was a female Mandalorian Armorer who served the Tribe during the New Republic Era. Following the Galactic Empire's Great Purge, she resided with the Tribe in a covert on the planet Nevarro, where she forged armor and weapons for her fellow Mandalorians. Around 9 ABY, she forged a new set of armor for the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin using the beskar he provided. During this time, she stopped an altercation between Djarin and another member of the Tribe, Paz Vizsla, when she reminded them of the way of life they were supposed to follow.
In the aftermath of an attack on the covert by the Empire, the Armorer made it her mission to salvage what beskar she could from the deceased Mandalorians. When she met Djarin and his allies, she helped him restock his supplies and declared the formation of his clan after creating his signet, but stayed behind in order to continue collecting the beskar and cover Djarin and his allies' escape, before evacuating herself to parts unknown.
The dual windscreens in 10497 gave me the idea to try to create a classic space version of my favorite Star Wars ship, the U-wing. Overall I am pretty happy with this one. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep the functions of the U-wing but managed to get the sweeping s-foils and opening troop compartment doors (this with the addition of 2 1L axle/pins and 4 2L axle pins). All other parts come from the set. The part count comes in a little over 900. Snowtroopers are stormtroopers trained for operations in arctic conditions and equipped with specialized gear to protect them against cold. When deployed, snowtroopers wear breath heaters and protective hoods, insulated suits and belt capes, rugged boots, heating units and survival backpacks. During the Battle of Hoth, snowtroopers under General Veers’ command were deployed from AT-AT Walkers and quickly and ruthlessly took control of Echo Base.
Here's a photo of most of the minifigures (excluding the rebel trooper and rebel pilot) I got with the three Rogue One sets I purchased on Force Friday a couple days ago. Main character-wise, I'm only missing Baze Malbus, which is pretty awesome. There are still a lot of Force Awakens figures I still don't have, so It's nice that at least for Rogue One I basically have all the characters. Anyway, just thought it would be cool to take this photo showcasing most of the official Lego Rogue One figures. That's all for now...Enjoy!
