“Show me again the power of the darkness, and I’ll let nothing stand in our way.”

– Kylo Ren in The Force Awakens

It’s been called the quick and easy path to harnessing the power of the Force. Stemming from anger, fear, aggression, and negativity. But to those who command it, the dark side of the Force is pure, unrestrained, unlimited power. Read on to begin your tutelage in a… larger view of the Force

"Your Highness, the transmission we received. What is it they've sent us?" - Captain Antilles

Darth Vader boards the Rebel command ship and massacres the Rebels stationed on it. The Death Star plans change hands several times, and eventually reach Princess Leia of Alderaan on-board the Tantive IV, which leaves the space above Scarif before Vader can reach it. Hope has been restored to the galaxy.

"To nurse and protect."

―Din Djarin and IG-11

IG-11, also known as Eyegee-Eleven or simply as IG or Eyegee, was a masculine-programmed IG-series assassin droid who was a bounty hunter during the New Republic Era. IG-11 was programmed to follow protocols of the Bounty Hunters' Guild, and had a built-in self-destruct mechanism to prevent himself from being captured while working as a hired gun.

Around 9 ABY, IG-11 took on a bounty that involved killing Grogu, a Force-sensitive infant that was held in a encampment on the desert world Arvala-7. During the assignment, the droid teamed up with the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, and the two worked together to eliminate the Nikto mercenaries in the encampment and confront Grogu. Upon seeing the infant, IG-11 was destroyed by Djarin while the droid attempted to kill him.

The Ugnaught Kuiil later retrieved the droid's body from the encampment and repaired and re-programmed him in order to assist the retired vapor farmer. Now tasked with protecting Grogu, he accompanied Djarin and his allies to the planet Nevarro after meeting them in Kuiil's moisture farm. Following the death of his new master, he assisted them after they were pinned down by Imperial forces and helped them escape. IG-11 later sacrificed himself via self-destruction in order to kill a platoon of stormtroopers to prevent Grogu from being captured. After his sacrifice, a statue of the droid was erected in Nevarro's city.

This is a bizarre-looking spaceship. This is the U-Wing, a dropship (apparently) that will feature in Star Wars: Rogue One, a film for which I have much hype. Images of this craft are few and far between, so I had to use my best guess and some artistic license.

It's an ungainly looking ship from most angles, but from the 3/4 shot it hides the mass of the troop bay really well. I like it. There's pictures of a couple of Rebels for scale. They can /almost/ stand upright, but not quite.

The build itself is as you would expect from me. Delicate as a butterfly's wing. Angles that only work by accident. The troop deck, which you would think should be the starting point, was actually second to the entire top deck. Only the wings and engines were done after that.

Speaking of the wings, I'm very pleased by the almost total lack of sagging. Pity the angle of the wings doesn't really leave any options but jagged tiles.

So yeah, let me know what you think (add notes if you like, woo, notes!), it's been a while since I've built anything...

PS. FIRST! Yeah, seriously. I can't actually be the first person to build this... can I?

The thing is that with these you have to go at it as if you're photographing wildlife. You know? It's about timing and knowing your subject through and through. With good planning and a little bit of luck, you can achieve nice captures.

I started this one almost at the same time than the U-wing. Its been more or less done for longer though. But I find it very difficult to take good picture of.

The wings are working, and the structure is very strong. Yet this thing is huge in its flight configuration. I haven't find a good way to photograph it with its wings extended yet.

So I guess that just means, more pictures to come ;)

Enjoy!

"Finally the rescue was impossible and more galactic methods had to be used .. flic.kr/p/2kxCnqe ..."

The planet of Hoth looked like a pale blue orb due to its dense snow and ice covering. Five planets existed between Hoth and its sun, while an asteroid belt surrounded the planet with meteors occasionally striking the surface. Most of its surface was covered with glaciers and frozen ice plains. Another third of the planet was covered by oceans.

The temperature, although always frigid, was known to drop to -60°C come nightfall. Although devoid of intelligent life, Hoth was home to fifteen species of large gray snow lizards called tauntauns and to a species of towering predators known as wampas.

The planet also had a number of "crystalline geysers."

I finished it off to a level that I'm happy with. Nowhere near airtight (many gaps remain) but I love it! I kinda like the way my wings taper down to a point more than the movie model; it's a subtle difference but it looks more elegant to me, like it's en pointe. If I remove a couple of the tiles covering the hinges, the wings can fold up for landing.

The desire to bring all to perfection has led to the emergence of the second version of the frame reproduction from the upcoming «Rogue One: A Star Wars Story».

🚀 The Galactic Empire stripe looks more organic and fits perfectly into the original lighting scheme.

🚀 Something so badly lacked this frame is updated lines of the protagonist face that exactly reproduces her emotions and facial expression.

Attention to detail is one of the main goals that you should pursue when creating reproductions from LEGO. You can put the minifigures in the frame with pinpoint accuracy, but if the eye of the viewer will not get caught something special – the picture will stay unnoticed.

"The imperial shuttle arrives on an icy planet to pick up the ground troops."

In the new Rogue One TV spot #26 (Yes, they've made that many...Which is why I will not be linking it, it is unnecessary to watch. At this point they have practically shown us the entire movie) it shows a clip, which is shown in this picture, of a bunch of rebel and imperial ships in space over Scarif...But wait...What is that? Its the Ghost from Star Wars Rebels! This is an obvious easter egg for the show. Now I know what you're thinking..."But shouldn't most of those characters from that show be dead by this point in the timeline?" Yes...But The Ghost is Hera's ship, this could simply mean she is the only one who has survived this far. Or maybe they are all dead and someone else is using the ship, who knows...All I know is that this is awesome to see something from Rebels in Rogue One. I can't wait to see if there will be even more easter eggs throughout the movie! We will just have to wait and see...

An epic scene where Vader boards the Rebel command ship and attempts to regain the schematics from the Rebels in Rogue One. I remembered everyone went "Wah, it's Lord Vader in Rogue One !"

fantastic mural by graffiti artist Rogue-One in Sauchiehall Lane. Has a touch of Gerry Rafferty about it although the artist says it is a self-portrait.

Dark and miserable Sunday in Glasgow today. We have snow forecast for later in the week. Let's hope some of it lies for a day or two

My {Rogue One} Hovertank is finally beginning to take physical shape.

The degree of completeness is 80%. Missing the entire front part, side cannons and twin engine unit, located behind the massive radiator and covered at the top by a pair of armored plates with a variable angle.

If we talk about the authenticity of the design, you can remove the whole rear equipment and get a shortened version of Hovertank from the movie.

An epic new banner for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story"!

A Blue Squadron recoloring of Inthert's brilliant creation! Hands down one of my favorite X-Wing designs for LEGO--quite a thrill to build and filled with so many fun techniques! Thank you for making your instructions so accessible!

"This is Rogue One, calling any Alliance ships that can hear me! Is there anybody up there?" - Bodhi Rook

In response to Cassian's message, Bodhi requests that Chirrut and his team find the master switch so that he can patch-in to the communications tower and contact the Rebel fleet. Bodhi, inspired by what he was told by Galen Erso, dashes through enemy fire in order to connect with a console that will allow him to send a signal to the fleet. Back onboard the shuttle, he waits for the master switch to be activated...

Got this guy way ahead of the street date, but it took me until now to photograph him LOL.

Sorry I've been gone so much guys. I still check out everyone's pics when I can, but I just don't have time to come around much. I've had a really bad year.

I love the breathtaking vistas in Rogue One! This is one of my favorites: A menacing Imperial Star Destroyer hovering over Jedha City.

The model is 40 Studs long and contains approx. 1200 parts. Originally it was planned as a companion build for my Imperial Shuttle MOC, but here finally a detailed view of it (as requested ;).

Credits to Eurobricks Brickdoctor www.moc-pages.com/home.php/17471 for the use of his LDD hull design.

Pretty much sums it up...

I shot these three images with the Minolta Rokkor 58mm f1.4 wide open. I like the soft dreaminess that’s achieved with this lens. I used some wire to suspend the small K-2SO and edited out in post.

Enjoy!

"The work has stalled. I need you to come back." - Director Orson Krennic

Approximately six years after the formation of the Galactic Empire, Imperial Director Orson Krennic and a squad of his death troopers land on the planet Lah'mu and forcibly recruit scientist Galen Erso to complete the work of the Death Star, a space station capable of destroying entire planets. Galen's wife, Lyra Erso, is killed when she shoots and injures Krennic to stop him from taking her husband. Their daughter, Jyn Erso, goes into hiding until Saw Gerrera, leader of the Partisans, rescues her and takes her in. (From Wookieepedia.)

One of the Imperials manages to hit the X-Wing and knocks it down... "There are only a few seconds left for the ship to sink into the sea, the pilot to leave quickly..."

Tam Posla was an interstellar lawman representing the Milvayne Authority who investigated claims of kidnapping, forced servitude, and surgical alteration of victims from the desert moon of Jedha, which resembled a rash of crimes on Milvayne attributed to a pair of visiting spacers using the suspected aliases of "Roofoo" and "Sawkee." Though taken off the case by his superior officer, Posla voyaged well beyond his jurisdiction and, determined to bring the criminals to justice, became a bounty hunter. He carried a modified BlasTech Industries DL-17 blaster rifle.

X-Wing crash in a desert planet. I hope you like!!

Ion Cannon Bunker

The Ion Cannon Bunker is a raised structure in the centre of a snow filled field. At the side there is a crashed Gunship, and trenches which provides great cover for attackers.

There are two sets of stairs which act as entrances and exits, but the windows can be climbed through.

The command post can also be taken from the roof making it very hard to defend. By heading to the large opening you will be lead to the Ion Cannon Hangar, and by entering the small corridor you will find the Control Room.
