(Every dinner preparation on Scarif starts with fishing for lobster).
Director Krennic is traveling to Scarif on Monday for a visit to the new Imperial military base. Then, he will attend the formal dinner. And if you're wondering what will be on the menu for Director Krennic's meal — take it easy, because I found some really interesting information.
Mainly traditional Scarifian cuisine, that uses local ingredients, will be served. So the main course will feature smoky, grilled lobster, served with fresh palm leaves garnish, pickled bananas, and a bunch of other dishes. I'm wondering what pickled bananas taste like. 😉

The dual windscreens in 10497 gave me the idea to try to create a classic space version of my favorite Star Wars ship, the U-wing. Overall I am pretty happy with this one. I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep the functions of the U-wing but managed to get the sweeping s-foils and opening troop compartment doors (this with the addition of 2 1L axle/pins and 4 2L axle pins). All other parts come from the set. The part count comes in a little over 900. Instructions are available at rebrickablw if you'd like to build one of your own! rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-136023/Themiddlebrick/ut-928d-ga...

Gotta love K-2SO. Pretty psyched to have Rogue One at home now to start scouring for more scenes to shoot in LEGO.
Trying a new setup now, and haven't quite nailed it down. I'm using an umbrella to try and control the overhead lights a bit more, but it's... been a little frustrating. Plus, I keep forgetting to shut off my computer monitor, so there is a blue cast (noticable on K2's head). Will keep messing around. Thanks for looking
762 pieces, 3 minifigs (1 in reclinable gunner seat, comfortably hidden from view).
Designed for sturdiness, playability, and to be handsome if possible.
Removable sloping front and top panels to access a fully furnished chassis.
It is rare to see this thing walking in bright daylight like this. Usually, if you’re very lucky, you’ll see only a silhouette in the shadows, or maybe just the glowing eyes. This is really something!
This is why I carry a camera at all times, it’s like being on a constant birdwatch for rare species.
One point scored!
It's my first upload here on flickr. I hope you like it! :)
I used Fimo for sculpting the hair and clothes / accessoires and Revell Aqua Colors to paint it.
The Strategy Center / War Room can be seen on-screen both in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) as well as Star Wars Rebels (2014-2018). It serves as the main communications and planning center of the Rebel Alliance inside the Great Temple on the fourth moon of Yavin.
The MOC contains 2818 pieces. Features round Tactical Display Table, lined up duty consoles with cable detailing, 4x trans-green Tactical Screens, shiny metallic silver and black piping on the walls, a total of 6x chairs for minifigures, roots, olive-green plants, and moss that overgrow the walls and more.

Built for the third round of the Imperium der Steine MOC Olympics. The theme for this round was to build something from the upcoming Star Wars movie Rogue One.
My most anticipated character in Rogue One is Chirrut Îmwe. A blind dude beating up Stormtroopers with nothing but a stick, what's not to like? I also really like his costume, so I thought it would be cool to try and build him. He's only featured in one scene in the first trailer, so I decided to also build some Stormtroopers at the same scale, and build that scene. I actually built the Stormtroopers first, as I thought they would be the hardest to pull off. But I am quite pleased with how both they and Chirrut turned out.
Once again, I have tried to use some forced perspective to give the scene depth, and make it look like a screenshot from the movie. It was a bit hard to figure out all the scenery from the little material that is available, so some artistic freedom has been taken ;) One of the hardest parts was creating that crashed X-wing, that is hardly even visible in the picture.
After watching the movie, where the tank was showed from all sides, I decided to build my model as it is: with the engine compartment, hidden under a massive radiator and armored plates, which gave the geometry some kind of finished look.
40% parts required for the building I found in my inventory. The remaining 60% ordered on Bricklink. A total of 360 parts to the amount of €40. Considering the cost of my own parts, model cost me €60.
Building instructions still available for purchase.

– Rogue... Rogue One!
Despite the fact that the final trailer for the upcoming «Rogue One: A Star Wars Story» was shown almost a month ago, I felt something was missing to recreate the key frame. And if Cassian Andor can be assembled from improvised parts, K-2SO minifigure could not be replaced by anything.

My Midi-Scale TIE collection expands again with a new TIE starfighter: the TIE Striker from Rogue One.
Made of 730 pieces, this TIE Striker features a fully SNOT surface, a smooth cockpit section, and includes blaster cannons below the cockpit. Design-wise, this ship really felt like a natural continuation of my previous TIE Reaper MOC.
Although being almost Minifig-scaled, (hence the Midi-scale) this ship obviously doesn't have any interior due to the techniques used and small space allowed for the internal structure.
Due to the front-heavy nature of the design, a rather long (but very simple) stand had to be made in order for the ship to remain perfectly steady and horizontal.
The overall build is pleasantly sturdy for a display model and can be moved around easily.
Instructions for the TIE Striker are available at Rebrickable!
Trooper 1 - The real one doesn't even hover. It's a ground tank.
Trooper 2 - Shut up. It's just a toy.
Trooper 1 - But it's not accurately named.

Anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering...
Those were the words that grand master Yoda told lil Anikin about choices. It's about our choices we make in our life. Unfortunately, Anikin, as he grow up, made pretty bad decisions. He let his anger run and control him just to protect his love ones. Now, he lost almost all of his limbs and has some sort of breathing issues, he then suffers from these things til' he die...
Some of you may have noticed my updates on the X-wing build I’ve had in the works, I’ve used IG Stories for that. Well, the model is now done and I’m just going to show it to you as it is.
The catch with this is that the model is a vintage 1977 stamped first toy wave MPC model. It’s inaccurate in many ways but as it turned out at some point, screen accurate. ILM used some of these kit models for The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The model has been with me for four decades, I actually began this rebuild in 2013, I only resumed it now and it occurred to me to make a little update to the paint scheme.
I like the black and white Partisan paint scheme seen only briefly in Rogue One. I wish they had ended up using them a little more. I really wanted to have one because they have no personified markings. No ”red three”, or such, these are more anonymous. I like that, there is more mystery in it.
This was supposed to be a fun carefree build with no serious ambition and it almost was. I couldn’t help making some modifications. I ditched the wonky plastic wing cannons and made new ones from brass and aluminium. The landing gear is also scratchbuilt except for the landing pads in the rear, they’re original MPC. I thought this would have been a fun detail but it turned out the old pads are terribly off compared to the real thing. I may fix that some day. The wings can open and close and the engines have magenta coloured led lights. Oh, and the cockpit has some simple fiber optics, you know, just in case.
This thing is now ready for some action. I’ll photograph it soon but we’re having our summer holiday right now, it limits my time with the camera and computer.
Early morning pre-flight check on Yavin IV. They had the most amazing thick morning mists on the fourth moon of Yavin, they were beautiful!
With the U-wing fighter the pre-flight check was mainly removing any stray fauna from the engines, such as ferrets. They liked to climb in for shelter, especially on foggy mornings.
I'm not sure how I feel about the character Saw Gerrera. His appearance in Rogue One was a low point in the movie, but possibly because there wasn't more back story given. Or, maybe it's just because the character was as uber dickhead in Star Wars Rebels.
I dunno.
Regardless, I wanted to take a stab at a photo with him, and since there is no official Saw Gerrera minifig, I slapped together my own. What you are seeing here is part Space Miner, part Unkar Thug, and Part Mr T without his signature mowhawk.
Best I could do with what I had. What do you think?
Started cracking open the new LEGO Star Wars sets, and I'm loving them so far. Going to get a ton of photographic-mileage out of this Battle on Scarif set.
Can't wait to start building more of them.
Thanks for looking and have a great day
Another Tantive IV photograph I took for a review I made. I wish this model had landing gear, or perhaps some sort of stand to put it on. Other than that, it's a fab piece of Lego splendor.

I decided to build this after finishing a far larger Scarif build and realising the Cargo Shuttle, a built for that, was not full minifig scale. So this time, without the burden on my parts of having to build a giant tower, I could fully concentrate on building an extremely accurate Cargo Shuttle. I then also decided a small section of Scarif would add tremendously to the build, so I built that as well. All together it took a month to build and I am very happy with it.
We are happy to present Brickz Lab's 3rd collaborative Star Wars Layout: Jedha - The Holy City

For a while now I've been meaning to try my hand at designing some decals for minifigs, and this is my first attempt at a torso design ( the face is Rey's, legs Han Solo).
It's not perfect but I'm fairly happy with the outcome, its mainly the straps and buckles I'm not 100% with).
I found it kinda fun to do and have a few more on-going designs, but I'm not sure what I'm gonna do Photoshop the onto figs (as above), get them printed up or go down the 3D route with Blender.

The DSS-02 shield generator was a military-grade deflector shield generator manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards. Due to its high cost, it was mainly used by the Galactic Empire, though the Alliance to Restore the Republic managed to obtain one to protect its headquarters on the gelid planet Hoth.
The DSS-02 shield generator could project an 80 kilometer-wide impenetrable deflector shield around itself, which was enough to cover the entirety of Echo Base.
For over 15 years and five reincarnations, the designers of LEGO failed to achieve accurate replication of the unique geometry of the original Walker. For the objective reasons.
The first version of the Scout from the Belgian LEGO enthusiast Gol was released in August last year and had the correct geometry and five points of articulation on each leg and to date has received a number of modifications, 699 parts and index two-point-three.
I knew that in spite of the fact that the project was published on LEGO Ideas, a bunch of plastic was not destined to appear on store shelves, so I started to order parts for its assembly.
The first photo is the installation of stabilizers on the moving limbs to the third joint and assembling the engine platform with the cooling system radiator. Obviously, this version is much more detailed and interesting to build than a serial LEGO set.
"Your behavior, Jyn Erso, is continually unexpected." - K-2SO
As the battle in the sky and space above Scarif rages, Jyn, Cassian, and K-2SO arrive at the Imperial data vault. K2 stays outside the vault to help the others find the correct data file, and to fend off Imperial troopers. Before leaving, Jyn hands the droid a blaster, which takes him completely off-guard, considering how he protested at Jyn's possession of a blaster when they first met. Cassian also contacts Bodhi to ask him to ask the Rebel fleet to take down the shield gate above Scarif, so that they can transmit the Death Star plans once they have been found.

I've always loved Star Destroyers... From the first scene in Episode IV... and this was by far the coolest scene with them ....
You knew someone had to build it :D
Thanks for RebelLUG for adding some awesome battle around the Star Destroyers @ Brickworld
And huge props to BrickPuke with some ISD guidance!
This is my first Bandai droid model. I’ve heard so much good about these, and when I saw one for sale at quite a good price I thought I’d give it a go. It could have been a C-3PO or R2-D2 as well, or whathaveyou, but K-2SO was an option that came up first.
I wanted the eyes to light up so I added a light inside the head. That’s the only modification I did.
Building the Bandai plastic models is very enjoyable as the parts fit together incredibly well. But with this, again, I had trouble with the waterslide decals. They don’t seem to adhere too well and I think the clearly visible halftone dots are not ideal. Other than that, these are amazing models and I have nothing but good to say about them.
