I've had this rocking chair for about 15 years now.

i've always found victorian styled rooms to be really intriguing, and so does my mom. this is our living room haha.

These two lovely girls came for portraits on the porch today. If you recognize them, shhhhh! The portraits are a Father's Day gift!

Cole and I made the drive out to Franklin during our weekend in Nashville to check out the Carnton Plantation. We were the last ones there and got a very personal tour of the house. It's wild to see blood stains on the wooden floors from the Civil War. This home become a field hospital during the Battle of Franklin. Such a story...

Rainy, dreary Memorial Day. So I decided to try my hand with a little HDR on my old Nikon D40 which does not have auto-bracketing. Used a tripod, some info gleaned from the innertubes and CS5's built-in processing. A few tweaks. It's no masterpiece but did prove to myself that it can be done with the D40. My first such attempt.
