This is a photo I took in Cuba a few years ago. There seemed to be so many people that just sat and stared from their perches outside their doors. This is one of my favourite photographs.

Cushions made by me with foam from upholstery store, Japanese trees fabric, Kona cotton and linen cotton blend.

Cole and I made the drive out to Franklin during our weekend in Nashville to check out the Carnton Plantation. We were the last ones there and got a very personal tour of the house. It's wild to see blood stains on the wooden floors from the Civil War. This home become a field hospital during the Battle of Franklin. Such a story...

Rainy, dreary Memorial Day. So I decided to try my hand with a little HDR on my old Nikon D40 which does not have auto-bracketing. Used a tripod, some info gleaned from the innertubes and CS5's built-in processing. A few tweaks. It's no masterpiece but did prove to myself that it can be done with the D40. My first such attempt.

Yes, this was at the airport in Burlington. We would never see that in NY

April 30 - Today ended up being impromptu spring cleaning.

This rocking chair came in the shipping cargo from Dubai ten years ago. It was where I threw my clothes in the bedroom. Now, it's waiting to be a donation at the Salvation Army. The awful yellow pole lamp goes too.

This image is in a set called "My Daily Photo Stream". Whereas the focus of my eJournal and images blog is on text, I want to create an emphasis on photos here. I'll shoot and add an image each day. Doing so will remind me to constantly carry my camera and it'll be a more direct record of current, personal experiences.

Rockin Years

Ill do everything I can to make you proud to be my man

And Ill fulfill all you fantasies

I guess were promising a lot, but for now its all weve got

And Ill stand by you thru our rockin years

Rockin chairs, rockin babies, rock-a-bye, rock of ages

Side by side well be together always

And if youll hold me tight when you love me

Thats all Ill ask of you

And Ill stand by you thru our rockin years

Ill be your friend, Ill be your lover

Until the end, therell be no other

cause my heart has only room for one

Yes, Ill always love you, and Ill always be here for you

And Ill stand by you thru our rockin years

Rockin chairs, rockin babies, rock-a-bye, rock of ages

Side by side, well be together always

And, yes, Ill always love you and Ill always be here for you

And Ill stand by you thru our rockin years, and Ill be here

And Ill stand by you thru our rockin years

"While I house sit"

Have a cushioned rocking chair set up in front of a 36.5 inch TV. The PC is plugged into it.

The downside is the 1024x768 resolution, however it's:

Awesome for Guitar Hero 3.

Great for Half Life 2.

Excellent for watching vidcasts (ie, DiggNation, TekZilla).

Austinburg, Ohio is home to Ohio's largest rocking chair. I almost cried it was so beautiful. A mere 50 miles from my front door, can you believe it??

handmade! (not by me)

Outside of Woodbury, Tennessee.

My dad made the the rocking horse for my older sister back in the sixties. It is made out of 3/4 inch plywood for the body/skids and a 1/2 dowl for the handle.
