, the chairs were explaining to the trees what it's like to live the life of a rocker. :-)

At the North Carolina Arboretum, Asheville, North Carolina.

Billy found the little fancy rocker first! He recently joined our Lagniappe bear clan in New Orleans, and I had the little chair shipped down to surprize them all.

"Mama! Mama! Look what I found!! May we take it outside on the front porch so I can sit out there with you?"

"Oh Billy! I wasn't ready to share the chair yet, but I see that you love it. I guess we may as well sit and enjoy it! New Orleans weather is getting nice! Did you know that the rocker plays music when it rocks?!"

"Oh Mama! I LOVE it! It's a chair fit for a king! I think I will be king today!"

"That's a good idea, Billy! As long as you sit right there and don't make a fuss. Let's not spoil it for the others yet. I will surprize them later!

The comfy cozy sitting room at Legends on the Farmington, a B & B where we stayed last fall. A very pretty house next door.

At the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore. It's such a beautiful place.

He stayed like this for a while.

The reason for that collection of things on the back of the chair is that the clothes are clean...

but if I put them in a chair until I can fold them, they will be covered with cat hair.

many thanks for all your visits, favs or comments

The Dragon relaxing on the rocking chair in our living room. He was watching Cleo who went outside for a moment and he almost couldn't believe what he was seeing as she doesn't interrupt her hibernation very often these days.

... of Freeman Patterson's barn in Shampers Bluff, New Brunswick. The same loft as the photo in the comment box below was taken, but given a bit more dramatic treatment. In fact, also the loft of the barn whose roof I shared yesterday from the inside.

It is nearly sunset on the porch at Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel overlooking Lake Huron and the Mackinaw Bridge. The porch of the hotel is long, wide, and spacious. I found myself alone on this end of the porch and the tables and chairs were set up just as they appear here. This is a Grand Hotel indeed and the porch is just as grand as the hotel itself. I will be uploading two additional photographs of this porch, one to show its length and the other to show this scene a bit differently in the morning light. Our stay was far better than we could ever have anticipated.

The Mackinaw Bridge in the far distance connects Michigan's upper and lower peninsula in the USA and is five miles long. It divides Lake Michigan from Lake Huron and is the chief navigational tool for boats crawling through the Straights Of Mackinac.

That's Otis in front and Cousin on the upper level.

Sitting on my Tulip Bench drinking coffee, wishing the Easter Bunny had been, I could do with some Chocolate, but I have some chocolate biscuits.

(we agreed its not an essential item and I'd rather the short supply of chocolate eggs on our supermarket shelves went to the little ones)

Wishing you all a Sunny warm Easter Sunday with hot coffee and chocolate biscuits 💕 KissThePixel2020

This is part of a large addition that I am making to my Bay View album. Bay View is a community of summer cottages near Petoskey, Michigan. Most of these additional photographs are highlighting the great number of porch styles in the community. Taken on an drizzling, overcast day near evening.

And as Gina said under my “Seven Up” porch, the houses in this community are “all-American”, not a cookie-cutter in the place. Available at 17-robert-carter.pixels.com in the “Bay View” collection.

Created for Creative People Bon Appetit - Contest 54: 18 August 2016 until 16 September 2016.

Photo and textures are my own!

Are you awake, Idaho? (He was very comfortable propping his chin on the arm of the chair.)

Tiny for Happy Caturday theme "Furniture", on the rocking chair with the Christmas tree teddy bear.

” I cannot play with you,” the fox said. “I am not tamed”

“…What does that mean–‘tame’?” [said the little prince].

“It is an act too often neglected”, said the fox. “It means to establish ties…to me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you shall be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world…”

“I am beginning to understand,’ said the little prince. ‘There is a flower…I think that she has tamed me”
