Restless Groove performs at the first-ever KahBattle of the Bands. The competition was held at Peakes Auditorium at Bangor High School and was sponsored in part by the United Way of Eastern Maine.
The old bridges on East Branch Road haven't got much life left in them, decades past their last real maintenance. The first span closer to the power station has mostly collapsed, and this second one won't be long to follow. Abandoned roads have held a huge defining force for me through the years. They seems to run such dark rings around me, energy that's slow to shake loose. Sometimes it pulls at my mind like a kind of daydream – all those endless kilometres and shoes I've worn through. Step after step in a kind of restless trance. Some of the oldest ways through the woods are those most forgotten, twisting ribbons through terrible terrain, chasing after wherever they used to end up. They still do, once you push through the brush, hop the puddles, trip over the ruts. They each hide that secret middle of nowhere I'm after.

Our little ones are starting to walk! It's so heart warming watching them trying to entangle all four of their legs enough to take a few steps :) They almost look drunk at times!
First time to do B & W image, the composition might be fine for me & to the additional dramatic angle of the boat.

Sad day.
Restless City is a jewel, deliberate skill played out to a tee. The textures and color are awesome. It has alot of spirit, and for a film shot in just 15 days, it shows what can be done with creativity and a minimal budget. I don’t like to rehash story lines or give away too much (unless I hate a film), but basically it’s about a young African immigrant named Djibril, attempting to to make it in NYC – straddling a straight line in a crooked environment. Shot by Brad Young, the cinematography and shot selection are nothing less than inspiring. It initially took me a while to understand exactly what I was watching and where the plot was going, however that had nothing to do with the overall design of film. A brilliant and worthy consideration.

Restless Flycatcher Myagra inquieta 19-22cm This is another first. What an awesome bird. No wonder it is called the "scissor grinder". It sounds just like the swishing of scissor blade or vigourous knife sharpening - that is just part of its repetoire- and is extremely loud too. it is one bird call I am not likely to forget.

In emerald woods and twilight's glow,Caravans whisper soft and slow,Flames dance lightly, weaving dreams,Under stars, near crystal streams.
Tambourines jingle tales of old,Legends wander, brave and bold,Fiddles sigh their mournful tune,Echoes rise beneath the moon.
