this was a role of XP2 that i got the kinky idea of developing it in D76. i'm not sure of the outcome.
This is my first Myiagra inquieta (19-22 cm) and I was stunned by the noises that they can make. I can see exactly why it is sometimes called a "Scissor-grinder" and another call sounds very like a frog and all at a high volume. Quite astonishing.
Cheetah pacing it's enclosure at a Zoo in Florida. . . This poor guy only has one eye which, Thankfully you can't tell from this angle. . . . Still, they are truly Beautiful Creatures.

Day 131/365
I meant to come home and be productive. Except I collapsed at the computer and somehow started looking up backpacking bags which lead to everything associated with my upcomming trip. (Upcomming in the long-term sense....) I'm obsessed. It's no good. I need to put a limit on myself.
Point being: I wasted so much time, I didn't have any clue what to take for a picture, till I walked into my room. Our newly purchased bags were making love in the closet. It seemed appropriate.
Became aware of the characteristic burring call of a restless flycatcher as I was walking through open sclerophyll forest. So I was looking everywhere for the bird, and when I spotted it, it was only a few feet away. It took off from it's perch, to hover directly in front of me, then descend into a thicket of dead sticks. Luckily the camera locked it's focus on the bird, and not on the bush behind as it usually does.
Gasp, I received these gorgeous prints from Liv at Restless Things. Yay, hurrah, can't wait to see them framed.

Photographer Notes: I set up the tripod and used these settings to capture all the detail of the storefront. I edited down the highlights some to reduce the flare from the fluorescent lights.
