this female red fox (silver colors) was a restless hunter trying to keep her pups not too hungry for too long.
The neon sign hums with a restless energy, casting a crimson glow over the cobblestone street where laughter weaves through the cool night air. Shadows dance against the aged brick, while the clink of glasses marks the cadence of a city that refuses to sleep, holding onto the fleeting magic of this warm, crowded corner.
Time seems to slow within the radius of that ruby light, capturing the essence of connection amidst the urban sprawl. Faces blur into memories, and each spoken word becomes a secret shared with the night, sealing this fleeting gathering in a timeless, amber-tinted embrace.
Seixal is a charming coastal village on Madeira's lush north coast, between São Vicente and Porto Moniz, celebrated for its dramatic cliffs, terraced vineyards, and idyllic black-sand beaches framed by waterfalls. Key attractions include the natural lava pools of Poça das Lesmas (with its iconic swim-through arch), the Veu da Noiva viewpoint overlooking a 110-meter waterfall plunging into the sea, and short hikes into the surrounding laurisilva forest valleys like Chão da Ribeira.

We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight, and yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find, and yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can′t be my own
I'd feel better dead
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
Ooh
Ooh-ooh
Titled "How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter?", this series is made up of ten sets of image and text. Each set expresses the 'moment' in which I explore a place in a photograph and then two written descriptions: one by me, considering my mental health, thoughts and feelings, and one by (best friend and accompanying adventurer) Michael with his version of events. The series tracks how photography has changed my interactions with the world, from being isolated to being able to get out and explore.
You can see a few examples of how it was presented here:
Tim van Zundert - How long had I been gone?
If inhabiting the world at night taught me that I could stand in the middle of roads at a whim, why not go to places you just shouldn't? Places that are closed off to the public after dark aren't necessarily closed to those who find their way in. At Cowdray Ruins, we wandered the grounds as if we had every right to be there.

A tear in my brain
Allows the voices in
They wanna push you off the path
With their frequency wires
And you can do no wrong
In my eyes...
You can do no wrong
In my eyes...
A drunken salesman
Your hearing damage
Your mind is restless
They say you're getting better
But you don't feel any better
Your speakers are blowing
Your ears are wrecking
Your hearing damage
You wish you felt better
You wish you felt better
You can do no wrong
In my eyes...
You can do no wrong
In my eyes...
Lyrics from Thom Yorke - Hearing Damage

Juvenile male Ruby-throated Hummingbird moving around on the perch. They can't walk so they have to fly to move. Thanks again for the visit.
A few days ago the bays and coves on the NE Avalon Peninsula of NL were blocked with pack ice. Now a strong westerly wind and tidal movements have moved most of this ice offshore again.

The sea was restless as it readied to crash upon a rocky headland near Depot Bay in Oregon.
We have been planning another trip to the Oregon coast this fall so I have been reviewing photos taken last year to learn how I might improve. This shot was taken on a stormy day and the ocean seemed agitated before it swelled up and slammed into the headland.
Everything and everyone
Every word is falsified
Can not see what you’ve become
A little hard to recognize
Everything’s been overdone
Honesty is crucified...

Before enjoying a steak dinner at the famous Harris Ranch on Interstate 5 in central California I headed into the Coalinga hills looking for something interesting to capture. In the middle of nowhere I stumbled upon a cattle farm. The restless cattle gave dust, and the sunset gave backlight, a perfect combination.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from a RAW exposure, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
