It's cold, it's snowing (again), I'm walking around my house photographing silly things because I'm restless.
The 17-mile drive between Monterey, California and Carmel, California is a "must do" if you are interested in seascapes. With the changing landscape and ocean, this area provides a wonderful playground for the photographer and a visual treat for everyone.

I tried from the other side of the ledge because, facing north (I'm almost positive it was north) I was under a shadow. I haven't gotten much sleep lately, but I think I'll get much better sleep this weekend. Today really lifted up the bad mood.

So far as time taken to get here from anywhere, Tiverton is a far-off place. Three hundred citizens of Long Island live below, about half the population with the rest in Central Grove and Freeport. On a landmass just fifteen kilometres long and five across, it's land enough to hold tight through a long winter. I'm only up here now because no one else is, hanging out in the restless ebb of seasons trading places. Tied down to the timeless pounding, uneasy thrill of endless shifting – the tidal bore never gets boring. I rode it pretty wild on the car ferry across, down the trough of the waves with only sea through my windshield, no sky. After every visit, I feel like I could give it a good couple months, settle in some old home and really get to know the landmass to her absolute heart. That's a future I could easily go dreaming about – brief resident of a thousand different tiny towns. Get to know them well, better than most, just before moving on.

let me introduce you to the first photo of my Sleeping Disorder series. I've been doing research on all type's of sleeping disorders and I got really inspired to turn my research into a series. So I start with insomnia. By the end of the week I will have more photos. Big thanks to my boyfriend Manny for helping me set up and for modeling for this photo.

Just another photo of people interacting with art. This is a piece entitled "Restless Rainbow" by the artist Pae White. It is a site-specific piece commissioned for display on a terrace on the top floor of the Modern Wing of the Art Institute of Chicago. It provides impressive touches of color to the overall grey surroundings.

This is St. Pete Beach, FL, one of the many jewels of the Gulf coast of Florida. This was the wonderful sunset that we enjoyed on the beach. Sunsets like these are definitely like "valium for the restless soul." I moved to NC 2 yrs ago & I missed the Gulf coast terribly. Maybe one day I can move back, God willing.
I took the original image into Photoshop CS, used the plug-in ReDynaMix on it, then curves to tweak the image.
The temperature dropped around 30 degrees within a couple hours, needless to say I wasn't out there for long. Taken on the shore of North Beach, Chicago.
While hovering the Restless Flycatcher produces a grinding call which has led to the bird also being called the Scissors Grinder.

This is from a fantastic shoot I had with my two best friends, Caroline and Danny. We were actually in my friend Danny's barn for this one, and it was snowing and hailing all day so we were all pretty much frozen. But I managed to get this wonderful shot of Caroline that I am very happy with!!
