On Tuesday we headed home. We found some excellent color at the scenic overlook in US-131's Tustin rest area.
Sidewalks at the Custer Rest Area were getting uprooted by trees. Our teams took care of it to provide safe walkways for travelers who stop here.

Seen at the French Prairie Rest Area, on Interstate 5 just south of Wilsonville, Oregon. I had a pleasant break here. This was the first day of a five-day drive from Renton, Washington to Maricopa, Arizona.
Vermilion River Scenic Overlook, Ohio Route 2 rest area. I'm always amazed and touched that someone cared enough to make this beautiful park a reality. It has a paved trail and a small gazebo. This is quite an unusual find for road-weary travelers.
We were on our way home from the west side of Cleveland, where we met with my ENT physician for a routine checkup which went well.

My wife and I stopped at the Interstate 40 NC Welcome Center on our way home from Tennessee. It had been raining but stopped long enough for me to take a few pictures. The I-40 rest area/visitor's center is very scenic.
Designed by senior Ngāi Tahu artist Ross Hemera, the design represented mihimihi (a welcome) to Kā Tiritiri o te Moana (the Southern Alps), Aoraki (Mt Cook), and Te Manahuna (Mackenzie Country).
People travelling along Highway 16 between Vanderhoof and Burns Lake will soon have a new rest area, adding to the more than 170 rest areas strategically located throughout B.C.

Dutch highway A50 Northbound just before the junction Grijsoord with the A12. From this junction the A50 continues for about 6 kilometers together with the A12 Eastbound to continue till junction Waterberg where the A50 continues Northbound again.
At the right restarea De Slenk with a Texaco gas station where the price of unleaded regular (Euro95) is priced 1.62 €.

A50, the section of Rijksweg 50 that is constructed as controlled-access highway, is a north–south motorway in the Netherlands, running from Eindhoven in the province of North Brabant, northwards passing by the cities of Oss, Nijmegen, Arnhem and Apeldoorn, to its northern terminus in the province of Gelderland near the city of Zwolle.
It passes the cities of Eindhoven, Den Bosch, Oss, Nijmegen, Arnhem, Apeldoorn and Zwolle.
Length: 160 km
Passing through the provinces Flevoland, Overijssel, Gelderland and Noord-Brabant.

Since closing the Custer Rest Area, enhancements and much needed improvements have been made to sidewalks, curbing and pedestrian walkways.
Free, public wifi will soon be installed at select rest areas across the province. With the addition of wifi in rest areas, travellers, tourist and the commercial truck industry will be able to take a rest, stretch their legs, and check DriveBC.ca - safely - before getting back on to the road.

Our crews take great pride in what they accomplished here to provide a safe and sanitary restroom for travelers. New caulking, skylight sealing and repairs to the sewage system are just some of the many repairs.
The neighbours are not impressed that their once quiet neighbourhood has become party central for raven'.
We stopped at the Cactus City rest area to strech our legs. this little coconut monkey thought scenery was nice but didn't like the sound of trucks and cars on the freeway.

Schellbourne Rest Area is located along US 93 in Northeast Nevada. It has information about the history of the area, especially Schell Creek Pony Express Station, which was about located about four miles east of the Rest Area.
British Columbians now have more access to bird's eye view webcams to plan their travel ahead of time, thanks to 11 new cameras and 40 new webcam views added to the DriveBC highway camera network in 2017. There are now nearly 700 highway webcam views at more than 380 locations throughout BC, giving travelers easy access to weather, road, and traffic conditions with near real-time coverage. The DriveBC interactive map includes webcams, road conditions, rest areas, and many other valuable tools allowing drivers to know before they go.

This Rest Area Beauty along I-10 at Anahuac, TX us probably the most beautiful rest area in all of Texas - perhaps the entire United States.
Seen here are improvements made the the roadway at the I-5 Custer Rest Area. The rest area closed in March to allow maintenance crews to make necessary repairs, safety improvements and perform preventative maintenance work.
