A rest stop on SR99 and, I found out, a staging area on the Green River Trail For bikers and hikers.

Coming from the western side of Washington state my natural prejudice is that big trees in multiple shades of green is what makes a landscape beautiful. But, as I said in a previous photo post, I know that people who come from the desert side of the mountain intensely love the beauty of that area. I drove through the desert last weekend on the way home from a conference and decided, while I was traveling through, that I would set aside my own personal prejudice and try to look at the landscape with on open mind. I think that I was more easily able to see the beauty of this land because of the cooler temperature of the Fall season; it's hard for a West Coast girl to think when the sun is blasting my brain.
