Aerial photograph of the British Sugar factory, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk — one of only four remaining sugar beet processing plants still operating in the UK. Opened in the late 1920s, it has grown into a vast, highly efficient industrial complex, handling over two million tonnes of beet every year during the autumn and winter campaign. The factory produces around a quarter of a million tonnes of refined sugar annually, together with valuable by-products including animal feed, lime for agriculture, and bioethanol.
The six tall silos store tens of thousands of tonnes of finished sugar, while the circular tanks and clarifiers handle beet juice and wastewater treatment. The surrounding lagoons and settling ponds are part of the site’s environmental management system. Steam billows from the main chimney as part of the energy recovery process — much of the plant’s heat is recycled to improve efficiency.
British Sugar’s Bury St Edmunds site plays a vital role in East Anglia’s long-standing beet industry, supporting hundreds of local farmers and marking nearly a century of continuous production.
I want to become more organized, loose some weight ( not cause society is pressuring me to just because i think it would be good for my self confidence), improve in my photography of coarse, and try and not care what other people think.
Tell me yours.
52 Weeks of 2019
Week No: 1 — WooHoo — we’re off and running!
Theme: New Year / New Goals
Category: Creative
One of my resolutions for this year is to take more pictures--more specifically, to take weekly pictures. Last year was the first time in about a decade that I haven't fulfilled a weekly photo challenge. Not the best year for my creativity all around but I'm going to do my best to turn that around.
I took this shot on my morning walk (another resolution) and am going to get back to carrying my camera along with me and not just the phone.
Happy 2019 everyone!

Today we at the We're Here group are trying to remember the resolutions that we made in 2010 as we are infiltrating the
2010 New Year's Resolution group.

This challenge really made me think. I considered all the things in my life that deserve a resolution such as more walking, exercise, weight loss, healthy eating, decluttering, intellectual pursuits (painting, stitching, reading, learning French). But I finally decided that my attitude was the most in need of improvement so I resolve to take a more positive view of even the most difficult of circumstances. I hope this image captures my goal.
DALL-E (stylized as DALL·E) and DALL-E 2 are machine learning models developed by OpenAI to generate digital images from natural language descriptions. DALL-E was revealed by OpenAI in a blog post in January 2021, and uses a version of GPT-3, modified to generate images. In April 2022, OpenAI announced DALL-E 2, a successor designed to generate more realistic images at higher resolutions that "can combine concepts, attributes, and styles" - Wikipedia
Every year, my New Year Resolution has been...not to make a New Year Resolution! Hey, it works pretty well for me. But I do hope and pray 2016 will be kind to all my family and friends. And the world will be kinder also. It starts with one person at a time. So I will try my very best to do my part. :)

My new years resolution is to broaden my photographic repetoire, so I'm taking on weekly 'assignments'. This week it's night shots so here is my first attempt :-)
Rangiatea Church in Otaki was originally built in 1851 under the leadership of Chief Te Rauparaha and the Anglican missionary Octavius Hadfield. Destroyed by fire in 1995, at that time the oldest Maori Church in New Zealand, Rangiatea has indeed "risen from the ashes to stand once again in all its glory, a symbol of faith and cooperation".
This is one of a series of night shots I took of this church. You will find the other two here; Church Moon and Rangiatea II

I know Im posting a lot of Venus images but Im trying to improve my technique.
Previously Ive used the Baader UV filter but here Ive used the Astrodon UVenus filter as it is said to have greater transmission in the UV. I was certainly able to reduce exposure times whilst keeping gain and %histogram the same - that resulted in many more frames per 2 minute video run.
I removed another one of the spacers in my Baader modular VIP Barlow so just x1.5 magnification here taking total magnification to about 6000mm f/30 and an image scale of 0.1 arcsec/pixel - still a bit higher than I would like.
Also getting comfortable using an ADC - usually needs just 0.5 or 1 "stop" for this target at 21 degree elevation.
Seeing was moderate for my site

Submitted for Our Daily Challenge "Resolution" Purchased this beauty earlier this year. A 2.8e with a Maxwell viewing screen. Wonderful camera. Love it! But don't use it nearly enough. This year I resolve to shoot a roll per week and develop once per month. Stay tuned.

Happy New Year! One resolution I have for 2025 is to focus on health. Among other things that includes focus on building muscle mass. I've been going to the gym and doing weight training at home with dumbbells. "Lift Heavy" and eats lots of protein!
The hubby decided he wanted musicians in the house. He surprised me by buying a new guitar he has been talking about for a few months. I know he is excited to learn and play but even more so to have our boys get involved in music, starting now. Lessons for Dad start soon...

the action of solving a problem, dispute, or contentious matter: the peaceful resolution of all disputes | a successful resolution to the problem.
The County Courthouse is where you may need to attend to find a resolution to your legal or serious problems.
{The Prince Edward County Courthouse was first constructed in 1832 and is one of the province’s oldest remaining buildings. It is an imposing Georgian-style structure located on Union Street.}
50018 Resolution has just arrived with the 15.20 departure from Plymouth, which had been delayed by poor railhead conditions during the climb of Hemerdon bank. This wasn't helped by the fact the train consisted of 13 air-conditioned Mk 2s. I remember that every effort was made to make up time, and we recorded speeds in excess of 100 mph in the Newbury area.
Paddington in the 1980s was very different to the sanitised place it is now. Especially this side of the station, platforms 11 and 12, which always felt very gloomy, run down and had a constant odour of diesel fumes hanging in the air. The poor external state of the loco adds to this atmosphere.

August 8th would have been the start of the Edinburgh International Festival and The Edinburgh Fringe. As a result of the Corona virus the event was cancelled. In remembrance of the event the City of Edinburgh put on a light show at venues around the city to mark what would have been the start of the event.
