George Barbier (1882–1932) became one of the most renowned French Art Deco illustrators after his exhibition of ninety costume drawings at the Galerie Boutet de Monval in Paris. Being a distinguished artist of the Art Deco movement, he created fashion designs for several leading couturiers and fashion houses during the time. Barbier was widely acclaimed for the design of costumes, jewelry, wallpaper, and glasswork. His creations were published in famous magazines including Gazette du Bon Ton, La Vie Parisienne, and Vogue. George Edwards (1694-1773) was a dedicated British ornithologist and artist. He traveled to Norway and France to research bird species, then created detailed and accurate watercolor drawings of birds and other animals.

normally I don't do new year resolutions, but this year I would like to make it to size 8 (size 6 in American language) even if its just for a day. Also the 365 is a biggie.

with the time change making sunset an hour later, and the weather getting too hot, and just plain ugly summer weather, the coming months are just not good for beach photography.

Today the Hereios of the We’re Here! Group are focusing on New Year Resolutions. Here are clues to mine. I'm intent on becoming much better at Italian and on revisiting the country (Sicily this time). Other travel plans include a trip to Canada (though it'll be Toronto rather than Montreal or Quebec), and another visit to New York City. And I will work on my golf with the aim of getting my handicap index down from 27.7 to 20. And, almost needless to say, take at least one photo every day.
It's a bit too late for my 2023 plans, but I just heard about a couple who have chosen 23 things to do 23 times during the year (they began with 18 things in 2018); these include journeys on buses numbered 1 to 23. Could be fun.

Edward Penfield (1866-1925) was an influential American poster artist, considered as the father of the American poster movement. He was employed as an art editor for Harper’s Weekly, Monthly, and Harper’s Bazaar, where he made posters advertising each issue of the magazine for over seven years. His art was avant-garde with less concern for the dramatic curving lines of Art Nouveau, inspired by Japanese ukiyo-e block prints, figure drawings by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, color lithographies by Jules Chéret, and other contemporary artists. He created simplified scenes of daily life in saturated colors, including horses, cats, sports, and women’s fashion. We have digitally enhanced some of his artworks. I've been thinking about my life when I reviewed 2013 and same time I was thinking about new year's resolutions.
I work hard whenever needed at the office or even being volunteer, I pride myself meeting deadlines, bring order to chaos. I am energized by challenges, I know I am good at solving the problems.
I am always counted on. I am the caregiver and protector of my family.
However I forgot how to have fun like when I was a kid, not thinking about being responsible for many things.
I was still a fun mother before I started working with Architects in real life.
Architectural industry environment is same as design industry, most of the times people are very critical.
I am sure something to do with being a designer but also most of us are under paid not as much as what social status stands.
I don't really meet happy Architects except my office. I feel what I do is just another job it pays the bills but I love the people I work with, they are more like family to me.
I can still make my girl friends laugh but I forgot how to act around men.
I mean the ones I care I get a bit intense and making a lot of things out of scale.
So when the things does not work as much as I hoped, I withdraw and stop dating anyone be what I do best. Be a good Mom, be a fun co-worker and be a goofy girl friend.
Actually I should accept what it is and be blessed with being surrounded by loving caring friends, co-workers and family.

The ship / platform is raised from the water by lowering all 6 pillars and pushing it up.
She can raise herself on her six legs between 3 metres and 46 metres above the sea.
