Amei esse esmalte facil de passar e td mais, só que dura pouco passei sexta e sabado anoite ja estava saindo!!

This is a photograph from the 3rd annual running of The Lough Lene Gaels Hurling and Camogie Clubs New Year Road Challenge which was held in Collinstown, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Sunday 11th January 2015 at 13:00. There were two races on offer today - a 10KM road race and a 5KM road race, fun run, and walk. This is one of the first road races in the midlands of the New Year 2015. As this was a community orientated event families were especially welcome in the 5KM race. The race was organised to raise funding for the development of the GAA pitches for the Lough Lene Gaels Hurling and Camogie Clubs. Overall this was a very successful event with a very large field of well over 300 participants in both races combined. The great local effort was exemplified by a very big local contingent from Collinstown and neighbouring areas.
The 5KM race was an out and back course on the Collinstown to Fore Road. The 10KM was also on an out and back course with a deviation between 2KM and 7KM for the longer race. There were several tough hills but an equal amount of down-hill. There was a bitter cold wind on the backs of participants of the 10KM for the first half of the race which unfortunately turned to become a headwind for the return stretch to the finish. The turn around on the course for the 10KM came at Doyle's Pub [goo.gl/maps/WxPSy - Google Streetview] at Glenidan. Refreshments were served afterwards in the Lough Lene Inn where the prize ceremony was also held.
Due to the inclement weather and poor lighting we had to, unfortunately, delete a lot of our photographs as there were very many blurs and fuzzy pictures. I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. As alternatives we advise you to contact the race organisers to enquire if there were (1) other photographs taking photographs at the race event or if (2) there were professional commercial sports photographers taking photographs which might have some photographs of you available for purchase. You might find some links for further information above.

My New Year's resolution each year is to read more books than I did the year before. In 2011 I read 42 (yes, I kept track). My hope this year is to read 50. Of course, I am behind on this goal already, since I am starting the year out with a book that is over 1000 pages long. Maybe the next one will be shorter :)
Other goals: Keep a gratitude journal, learn how to use my external flash (why does it intimidate me so much??) and do lots of arts and crafts with my daughter.

While enjoying NYE with some friends last night, I revealed my resolutions for 2012. As always, as soon as I think of one, I think of a million. So here they are written down and before I have time to think to ten more.
1 - Eat more healthily (I may have broken this one already with today's lunch above)
2 - Cook more fresh and tasty meals
3 - Make a bit of an effort on my appearance before leaving the house every day (terribly vain I know, but I genuinely feel better when I've got a bit of slap on, and I need that small pick me up at the moment)
4 - Take more photos. I'm starting Project 365 again. Will it be third time lucky and I'll actually do a whole year? Or will it only last two months? Who cares! The important thing is that when I'm doing this project, I take more photos generally and that can only be a good thing. I am so tired at the moment I need something to help me gee up my enthusiasm for photography. Also, this year promises to be super awesome and it will be good to have a record of it. Hopefully it won't be all baby and cat photos.

The start time for the Resolution Run is 6:30 p.m., and it's quite cold (minus 18C, plus a wind making it seem colder), so the runners are anxious to get started.
The runner on the left is wearing a blue & white D.I.F.D. (Do it for Darren) hat.
Over 3,000 runners are registered, but it seems as if some folks are passing up on the run due to the temperatures.

Subject: Resolutions
My first resolution should be to try to take and post for this project before Friday!!
But this is going to happen a few times this year and I've no excuses.
My resolution is to try to improve my portraits and lighting, preferably with other people in the shots. However, I have joined Detta Owens' "focus on me" group, so I will be stepping in front of the camera on a weekly basis, so thought I would start early.
I will hopefully work on developing my post processing, which is normally just a couple of tweaks (if any) in Lightroom, but we'll see how we get on with that one.
I also plan to finish my 100 Strangers project, which will help with my portraiture.
All of a sudden people began to sing, (or at least to hum), near the Taco Bar at the Haninge mall on Sunday. It was the opening of a new art project created by three artists, Cecilia Järdemar, Jennifer Rainsford and Rut Karin Zettergren. Called Konsten i Centrum. A bit of a word play. Art in the (Shopping) Centre might be a possible English translation. This part of the project is called Translations for higher resolutions. Choreographed by Jennifer Rainsford who received the Haninge Art Stipendiary last year.
Using a pattern of rubber tiles on the floor, a sound is created when the choir moves over the floor to the different tiles. Pictures and sound created by people is connected with social status according to the artist, who asks what might happen if old pictures and sounds are created in a new context.

Since I shoot both Canon and Nikon, I often get asked what I like about each system. Well for Nikon, shooting two D800s, the resolution blows me away. This shot is a great example of just how awesome the image quality and resolution is on the D800E, shot on one of the sharpest lenses out today...the Sigma 35mm1.4.
apart from seeing a comet on the sky and other things I want to have the courage to do the things I want to and for once to stop thinking of "what would happen if... "

I have the same resolution this year as last year - to finish things. This is a cross-stitch I started over 15 years ago and never finished. I spent maybe 5 hours on this piece in 2011 and worked on the flowers in the bottom left of the piece. There were two things I did finish in 2011 that I had started.
For those that know how to make potholder in the loom, I finished one. It was started about 6 years ago and I could not finish it and get if off the loom. Well my Mom finally helped me.
I also passed a financial counselor certification early 2011.
I'll keep working on finished started projects in 2012.
