The mission was resolution. I had the thought of I hope the find a resolution to the Gas BS in Europe soon. When I went to take the shot there was no Gas.
Turns out it was only a broken pipe but I freaked.
Resolutions are always difficult, but we'll give it a try! This bento pose can be purchased on Marketplace or in our In-World store!
My filing cabinet at work. I spent three hours organizing it today, recycling 1/2 of it's contents. I'm known for being a pack rat, and this was a big accomplishment. My students come back tomorrow, and I'm ready. :) Have a great day!

The great thing about the grand landscape is that it presents an entirely different universe from season to season, from day to day, from hour to hour, from second to second, with the ever changing wind, tides, clouds, and sun. A split second with tumbling surf and a sinking sun can make a vast different, resulting in entirely different photographs.

Dr. E would go on to heal the blind with his NSF-funded, award-winning Ph.D. dissertation which also laid down the foundations of Light Time Dimension Theory. Over the years, LTD Theory added foundational *physical* postulates, principles, and equations en route to becoming numerous books, with this one forming the simple, illustrated introduction.
I love celebrating light, time, and dimension in physics and photography!
For me, Digital Dream cameras are second only to Che-ez! cameras (NHJ company) for tinyness, cuteness, and wonderful crappiness. Both companies churned out plasticky cheapness masquerading as something better. They were "3-in-1s" because they could be used as webcams and recorded tiny amounts of video. And they were touted as proper "go anywhere" cameras. Which they're SO not. The build quality is appalling on many of them so they're too delicate to "go anywhere", and even my 3mp Digital Dream camera can be outdone for "proper" photography by any of my 1mp Fujis made far earlier.
Which is why my Fujis languish in a cupboard :)
One of the plus sides of them pretending these things were higher spec cameras than they actually were, though, was that sometimes they'd add memory slots or LCD screens which is great because it means you can find what is essentially a keychain camera, but with the useful addition of expandable memory, or an LCD screen.
This one takes x2 AAA batteries and works well with rechargeables. 1.3mp. Has a slot for a Smart Media card, and the camera is not much wider or taller than the card. I've no experience of this camera's driver because I use a memory card reader.
Status LCD only on this one.

This month's topic is "Resolution"..since it's the time of year some people make resolutions. Mine is "take a risk"...don't play it so safe all the time...like waiting until you have a royal straight to go "all in". That's maple syrup in the CC glass though, so maybe risky behavior will never be my forte'.

17 frames, stacked and sharpened in AviStack v1.74 and RegiStax V5. Re-compositing (the pilot boat actually travelled a third of the way across the frame in the time it took me to fire off 17 shots) plus Levels and Curves adjustments done in Photoshop.

Not sure if I believe in New Years resolutions, was only able to keep one in my life, four years ago, when lost 17 lbs. Italy is definitely on my list. Can't wait to go back to the language, Italian food and wine. But now back to healthy diet after the holidays and gym !

This photograph was one of many purchased from Vintage Inspired Antiques in South Burlington, Vermont, on May 25, 2012. The photographer's embossment was trimmed away when the photo was cut down to fit into a small frame. On the reverse is written, "Mom and Milo" in ballpoint pen ink. In pencil and different handwriting is written, "Mrs. M. F. McDonald." The image is printed on divided-back post card stock which would date the photo to 1907 or later.
I believe these people are Milo Francis McDonald, Jr., with his mother, Elizabeth Catherine Burch McDonald of Brooklyn, New York, and I date the image to early Fall, 1907.
Ordinarily, I would not expect to identify photo subjects on such thin information. I had one rather common surname, one unusual given name, and some initials. I had no geographic reference or date (other than 1907 or later). I began with the hypothesis that "M. F. McDonald," Milo's father, might refer to Milo F. McDonald, Sr. A census search turned up many Milo McDonalds, but only one Milo F. McDonald. The 1910 Kings County, Brooklyn, New York census listed Milo F, McDonald, age 29, public school teacher, married three years to Elizabeth, age 27. With them were their two children, Milo F., age two, and John B., age four months. The 1920 Nassau County, Rockville Center, New York census listed Milo F. McDonald, age 39, Elizabeth, age 37, and children, Milo F., age 12, John B., age 10, William, age 7, Mary, age 5, and Helen, age two years, six months.
Using search engines, I found genealogical information on the McDonald family that identified Elizabeth as the daughter of William Burch. This is significant because three other images I bought were identified on the reverse as William Alexander Burch. The photo studios identified with them were in Brooklyn.
Milo Francis McDonald, Jr. was born 24 Aug 1907, pursued a law career, and married Canadian-born Eleanor Bertram "Peg" Dawson on 27 May 1939. Milo died on 18 Dec 1962. His mother died 28 Dec 1959 in Rockville, New York.
I am seeking descendants.
