Wout's first two jigsaws are by the British makes Peacock and relate to the Coronation of King George V in 1911.
Peacock, for Hamleys 105pc Coronation of George V Westminster Abbey 1911, early plywood, 25x18cm. Blank divided vertically in three, dissected in a typical way to produce sinusoidal pieces.
We haven't identified the artist of the scene yet, but is likely to be contemporary and full of accurate portraits of the people involved in the ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The print has been trimmed slightly on the sides and bottom edges.
The same painting was used by other cutters.
The printed box is typical of Peacock's contract work, with the Hamley label posted into a blank frame. The label shows it to be a no2 size, 10x7in, and the print title has been pasted onto the label, although now a large part of it is missing.
Peacock initially produced jigsaws under contract for several department stores and stationers. Wout believes that later on they worked mainly for Hamleys. He gave a talk to BCD about this, which is on the BCD members website.
There is an album of Peacock jigsaws on flickr, created to support that research.

I saw Mom & Dad when I first got to the pond, but didn't spot the little one until they got into the water.

Was over at my parents for Easter and this sign is sitting on top of my Dad's television set. Anything related to my Dad is always humorous whether it be a card or a gift. It's where I get my quick witted sense of humor from. As they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and after all I am my fathers son.

This leaf relates to wildness because it is a part of nature. It defines "wildness" because it is so natural and beautiful. People engage in reciprocal relations with the leaves on trees, "giving as much as one takes and listening as much as one talks." Methods Used: I molded orange, red and yellow clay together, flattened it and cut it to form the shape of the leaves I found on the ground by my house. I placed it front and center and surrounded it with similar style leaves, pine cones and pine needles. I had my camera on Manual mode and I set it to ISO 800, no flash, Cloudy White Balance, and 1/1250 shutter speed. This model was 2.5 inches by 2.5 inches in dimensions.
