The Fountain Court links the heritage buildings at the front of the Parliament with the tower block behind. The Fountain in the centre of the court is enclosed by glass and sits in a light-filled atrium, open to the sky. It was designed by Australian architect and artist Robert Woodward AM (1923-2010) and installed in 1983.
Woodward used steel, water, and light to create the effect of an object floating above the water. In 1993, he described the design as “a tutu of thousands of fine, flexible, stainless-steel wands appears to float above the centre of a twelve-metre square pool in the public lobby of the parliament”.
The water flow has been engineered to create a drip rather than a flowing stream. This causes a ripple across the water which adds to the Fountain Court’s contemplative, peaceful atmosphere – perhaps in contrast to the atmosphere in the chambers.

Blue Hour this morning at Antelope Lake in Plumas County, California, USA. By this time of year the surface temp of the lake is in the 60's Fahrenheit. Last night the air got down to right at the freezing mark so it made for some wonderful low fog on the water....the moody clouds, calm air for reflections and the setting nearly full strawberry mood all just came together to make for a lovely scene I was blessed to capture.

This was one of three adult Brown Hares I watched feeding at close range in a sheltered spot. It paused to look my way but seemed to remain quite relaxed. It is unusual to see Brown Hares in groups but on this particular day I saw several in close proximity to one another.
Thank you all for your kind responses.

I captured this image while on a very early morning walk in an area known as the Sacramento Riverbend area of Tehama County, California, USA. This is very near the town of Red Bluff, and it is place I enjoy hiking around and exploring. This scene was captured at dawn on an early March morning while looking across the largest body of water in the area, known as Hog Lake. I was struck by the wonderful tones in the sky and the way the slight haze in the air provided layers in the mountains beyond the silhouetted trees on the far shoreline. The taller peaks in the deepest layer of the image are Mount Lassen and Chaos Crags, in Lassen Volcanic National Park. The park is probably only 20-30 “airline” miles from where I was standing.
