A revisit to this abandoned Coking plant on our doorstep. As my friends hadn't been without being seen and escorted out and I've been twice before, I agreed to go back and glad I did as I saw things I had never seen before. Visited with Wiffsmiff23 and Martyn.

Another version of the beach walkers in a more horizontal band motif

I couldn't believe how lucky we were to have such a perfect sunset tonight!

An unidentified CrossCountry Trains Class 170 Turbostar is mirrored in the floodwaters of the Hundred Foot Washes, near Manea in Cambridgeshire, as it speeds across with the 15:27 service from Stansted Airport to Birmingham New Street, on Tuesday 10th March 2015.

One from earlier in the year that never got uploaded, probably because I was uploading quite a few shots from this location at the time. I had another look at it recently and re-cropped it, trimming it slightly top and bottom. I think the narrower crop suits the composition much better than the 3:2 format of the original.

North Eastern Railway Q6 63395 runs around it's train at Pickering.

The Q6 is the sole surviving example of the long lived NER heavy freight locomotive. The successful pre-grouping design lasted until the end of North East steam in 1967. Along with a number of other NER and LNER types this engine owes it's survival to the continued hard work of the NELPG.

The Jananese Bridge at Winterbourne.

Winterbourne House and Botanical Gardens ( Birmingham, England) is one of the best surviving examples of an Edwardian Arts and Crafts suburban villa garden.

Offering colour and interest throughout the year, the seven acre Grade II listed garden is home to a beautiful walled garden, striking colour themed borders, original sandstone rock garden and stream side planting.

The garden also displays plants from around the globe with collections of plants from China, North and South America and the alpine areas of the world.

There is also a programme of public garden events running throughout the year including open days, special interest tours, local heritage days, music concerts and an Edwardian fete.

This is a fountain from the Vigeland Installation at Frogner Park in Oslo. It is a sculpture park with sculptures created by Gustav Vigeland between the 1920s and 1943. The installation covers 80 acres and there are 212 bronze and granite sculptures. Vigilant was no doubt talented but I personally found the sculptures a bit weird. This was a fountain featuring some of the sculptures.
