Contemplation or meditation is reflective thinking on topics like ..... Do you have time to slow down and think about such? You should. It makes for a better life!
A view over one of the tidal pools at Salcoats, with a hazy setting sun over the Isle of Arran in the distance.

Saltcoats is a small town on the West Coast of Scotland,
This name is derived from the town's earliest industry when salt was harvested from the sea water, carried out in small cottages along the beach.

105/366 - Reflections
I spend the day metal detecting and there weren't many opportunities for reflections, but thankfully the van we went in, was nice and clean and reflected the field.
Reflecting Pool
Like lightening flash, our sojourn came and went
Us wandering and pondering while intent
On taking in all there was to be seen
The highs... the lows and the in between
Alas our time was short, the climate wet
Clouds ruled sky... no sunrise, no sunset
Yet in this vast Cathedral... without a roof
I came away with shining and singular truth
Together we can weather any storm
Survive catastrophe in any form
There was no need to rant or vent
For upon reflection, twas time well spent...

Still practising shooting in manual mode. Must remember manual mode and manual focus are not the same thing!!!!! On the plus side it has encouraged me to pick up the camera again. :)

The mid day sun reflected off the water and the floor to give a nice effect.
For the group Macro Mondays, this is an Iris from our garden reflected in one of the inner bubble surfaces in a paper weight.
Enduneh & khalium (waterpipes and water melons) reflected in a pool under colored neonlights, I found it an interesting topic, then Hossein Mosaferi found the best angle to catch the reflections.

This is an image of a snowy egret, fishing for its breakfast at Ackerman Park on April 14, 2009. Ackerman Park is a county park built around a retention pond just east of interstate 75 ( see map ).
There was almost no wind blowing on this morning making for some good reflection shots. This little snowy egret was stalking fish when it stopped for about a minute and I was able to fire off about 20 shots and I thought this one was the best.
The birds usually are fishing along the northern shoreline of this retention pond and I would ride up in my truck, using it as a blind and get a few shots as I rested my 70-300 Nikon lens atop a towel resting on the window which I had down almost all the way with just a couple inches up.
I hope ya'll like it!
