Couldn't get close enough for an id in the shade, but this turtle was resting on a log dropped by beavers and making what I thought was a great reflection in the still water on Hopewell Lake

I was snapping some ducks - turned around to see this cute little fellow just resting and reflecting.

While waiting to sit an exam I spied this lovely painting of Wellington harbour on the wall. I snapped a photo but knew the reflections off the glass would ruin it. When I looked again I got a little lost in it trying to see through the reflection to the painting but my eyes kept being drawn back to the reflection. Two stories in one.

Standing outside my coffee shop getting ready to go to an event. Seemed like a proper time for a selfie.

~or this is my "Band" photo for my imaginary Industrial Noise band BUG.

Either way, fits my mood at the time.

Spring Break with time to explore, socialize and reflect in a red rock canyon.

I found myself chasing the clouds and then realised they were reflected upon the walls of the building I work in.

While visiting Boaton, USA, a little while ago, I loved this contrast between the various styles of architecture, reflected in the all glass elevation of a skyscraper.

Nestled in the heart of San Francisco’s bustling Financial District, the Mills Building stands as a beacon of architectural elegance and historical significance. Completed in 1892 by the visionary Darius Ogden Mills, this Beaux-Arts masterpiece has witnessed the city’s evolution, surviving the 1906 earthquake with remarkable resilience. Designed by the renowned architect Willis Polk, the building’s flatiron shape and intricate terracotta detailing make it a standout in the urban landscape.

The Mills Building’s facade is a symphony of classical elements, featuring ornate cornices, arched windows, and a grand entrance that exudes old-world charm. Inside, the building seamlessly blends historical grandeur with modern amenities, offering over 350,000 square feet of prime office space. High ceilings and expansive windows flood the interiors with natural light, creating an inspiring environment for today’s professionals.

This iconic structure is more than just an office building; it’s a piece of San Francisco’s soul. The Mills Building’s rich history is reflected in every corner, from the marble-clad lobby to the meticulously restored architectural details. It’s a place where past and present converge, offering a unique blend of tradition and innovation.

For those seeking an address that commands respect and exudes history, the Mills Building is the ultimate choice. Its prime location, coupled with its architectural splendor, makes it a coveted spot for businesses looking to make a statement. Experience the timeless elegance and enduring legacy of the Mills Building—a true San Francisco landmark.

Was born in Dallas, Texas and spent the first 12 years of my life in the "Big D".

I still recall my early years there in Dallas, but nothing holds a candle to the subsequent years living adjacent the Ocean in Key Largo, Florida (our backyard ended with the Bay)...not even living in the Texas Hill Country after that. There's something about living close to the Ocean/Sea that causes one to reflect about one's place here on Earth.

Unedited shot of the Damrak, reflected in a puddle in Amsterdam, taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ8. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

I shot a wicked video in the same puddle :)

Yesterday I went to the city to take some puddle pictures and wicked videos, it was an almost perfect day with lots of sunshine, pretty girls, good coffee and to top it off, a big demonstration on the Dam square of supporters of the right for abortion against a bunch of 'Jesus loves you'-signs holding religious nut cases, divided by a strong police force, proving that Democracy is not dead, it just smells a bit funny :)

Have a relaxed Sunday :))
