Along the highway there are many opportunities to pull over and enjoy the landscape. This early morning shot shows shadows at the base of the mountain. However, the light is reflecting the warm colors of the the morning sun in cold pools of water, still surrounded with ice

While waiting for spring last week, I shot a few images through the windows of the empty outdoor pavilion. The LaSalle Park Pavilion was built in the spring of 1917 by the City of Hamilton in an era when community entertainment was at its peak. A fire in May of 1995 destroyed the second floor of the building leaving only the shell of the pavilion standing. In 1997 it was rebuilt to its original form

Last Friday, one of my friends and I went out to take some sunset and twilight photos in Oak Bay and the Inner Harbour. This is one of the shots that I took during twilight in the Inner Harbour.

I've driven past Llyn Ogwen many times and always found it one of the most lack lustre lakes to photograph in North Wales. Being surrounded by a road, the inaccessibility of getting to the other side, little option for foreground interest or there's been a breeze in the valley. This time was different. I drove round Tryfan and this scene greeted me. Blue skies, a rising sun, small fluffy clouds. What more did I need? The only thing that would have made the shot better would have been a jet reflected in the lake on it's way to RAF Valley! Well, I can dream!
Used a 0.6 LEE Grad to hold the detail in the clouds and to hold the deep blue colour in the sky.
Today was my first time deep into the swamp since the nor'easter. Not much real damage, yet much appears different.
I came across a picture of tulips that I took a little while ago, but hadn't got round to uploading. I liked it so decided to give it a little revamp for Sliders Sunday - HSS!
Sometimes when I say "I'm okay", I just need someone to look into my eyes, hug me tight, and say, "I know you're not."
