I recently inadvertently deleted many photos from my photostream. I've been trying to retrieve as many of them as I could - it hasn't been easy... Like this one, I've marked the 'deleted' photos as 'redux'. I lost all of the information that goes with a photo, including the faves and comments I received. I'm merely putting them back in my photostream so they are not lost forever. I've turned off the comments for each of them.

"Redux" means I'm revisiting selected pics from a previous series, in order to bring them some personal attention in the post processing that they missed the first time around. In this case, a slightly more landscapey crop, a touch of HDR-like treatment via Photoshop Shadows and Highlights filter, some noise reduction, and some warming filter.

One of Louis XIV's grand entrance(s) to the palace of Versailles. RE-worked in post to adjust in colour, contrast and more importantly, perspective.
Louis XIV chose the sun as his emblem (Look to the clock at the peak of the main entrance). The sun was associated with Apollo, god of peace and arts, and was also the heavenly body which gave life to all things, regulating everything as it rose and set. Like Apollo, the warrior-king Louis XIV brought peace, was a patron of the arts, and dispensed his bounty.
Captured: Captree State Park, Oak Beach, NY.
Pictured here is an updated version of one of my favorite sunset captures... This is a view of Long Island's State Boat Channel Bridge at dusk, on an evening where the sky was full of radiant sunset colors.
Quick note about this drawbridge... The State Boat Bridge extends between Captree Island and Jones Beach Island, and is located along the Robert Moses Causeway.
This is the first of two bridges that connect the mainland to the ocean beaches in Robert Moses State Park. It also provides beach goers with access to the Fire Island Lighthouse, and the Captree boat basin.

"Skyfire (Redux)" is an HDR image constructed from 3 bracketed shots - 2 stop differential between each image.
Image processed w/ ACR, Photomatix, and finished in Photoshop (including the use of Topaz Labs plugins: Adjust, Clean, Denoise, Glow and LensFX).
I've only been in the group for a short time, and this is a subject I missed. This is a small section of a huge and beautiful counted-cross stitch piece that my mom made for me a several Christmases ago.

Humanoid has returned for a brief stay on LEA6.

Wendy Xeno has recreated that beautiful sim for us to enjoy again and I believe it will be there until the end of July.
As well as the ground level areas there are five of those magic doors which you crawl into and send you off to skydomes with different vignettes.
Honour Macmillan has done Humanoid justice with some lovely photos on her blog, honourmcmillan.wordpress.com/2015/06/25/humanoid-is-rebor...

Aside from just bringing forward an favorite old picture, I've adjusted tones, lightened things up, cropped the telephone pole, removed the large copyright watermark.

This is a black candle and a gold candle. You should just about be able to see 2 wicks and 2 flames.
Macro slide - fits the bill for "Monochrome", "Low key", Photography Gear", and "Measurement" and just about fits into the Category "Less than an Inch"
I was able to use an immersion blender this time to make this so it came out so much more beautiful than the first time I made this which is something I was always unhappy with - so the redux!
Using my readers as a magnifying lens was less satisfying than I had hoped, but it did work! This entry for Macro Mondays Redux 2021 combines 2 themes from earlier in the year: "December 6: Five" and "November 8: Behind Glass"
A potboiler of a sky to go with the summer time heat that returned this week. 80 degrees at dawn and the humidity was dripping. Some relief we hope by next week. I usually use a grad filter on this kind of shot to bring out the foreground but this is as it was straight out of the camera. The dark in the foreground is green cotton. Have a large Friday and thanks for the look.
