"Mr. Sandman...bring me a dream...make him the cutest that I've ever seen...give him two lips like roses or clover....then tell him that his lonesome nights...are...over."
People saying my nightmare BF drawing looked like Cell. What's wrong with you people? THIS is Cell.
Hackerspace Hack42 Arnhem was invited to demonstrate our style at Rozet's Open House 2015. One of the things they requested, was a live demo of our 2D laser-engraver which we used to engrave our logo in our infamous Dossier Verkade (part I) (and part II)... back in 2012. This portable DIY laser-engraver had been committed to the scrapyard long ago, and our current models either aren't very portable, or in non-working condition. Thankfully, Hackerspace Techinc Amsterdam loaned us a cute portable lasercutter to be able to engrave a single cookie on-site. We fabricated a nice shield for it (actually, for the visitors' eyes) and we pre-made quite a large batch of cookies with our own engraver. Mission Accomplished.

MTA personnel were out in Jackson Heights, Queens, during the week of Jan. 6 to tell customers about the draft plan of the borough's bus network redesign, which was released on Dec. 30, 2019. The MTA is seeking public input on the draft plan, which dramatically redraws the Queens bus network with new routes that are simpler, more direct, less circuitous and go to more areas than before.
Outreach will continue through January and February across Queens. For more information on dates and the draft plan, check: new.mta.info/queensbusredesign

Don't design our child with our unlived life! The best gift we can give to our children is to allow them to flourish in a creative and new world, not to want what we couldn't live in them, and because the child doesn't want it, but it is in our control as parents, we think he will give it to us. live our unlived life so that our children can plan their own life...
... A recent debate whether my logo is too similar to the Converse All Star had me thinking I should try something out.
I'm not deciding on anything just yet.
All I ever do on craigslist is search, so I took the design guy redo and focused it on search. More about this on my blog.
So I redesigned my MySpace profile a second time, inspired by NYC's ongoing Fashion Week. So hot right now.
A mockup redesign I did for the Connect NY site, currently at www.connectny.info/. The site (and system) connects several library catalogs across NY state and is in dire need of a facelift (which you will see if you visit the URL).
Incorporated both existing and new furnishings to transform the client's previously 'pink and carpeted' bedroom into a restful retreat.

Space redesign - Dibujo en Planta.
The new space includes the hotel logo inside the fountain cornered by a representation of Varadero Beach where 6 cubic meters of white sand were dumped with a hammock and beach chairs.
An exhibit space (left side of the blueprint) with a business stand where deals can be sealed off. The furniture used was the Cuban taburete (country style chairs) used by farmers in their traditional houses.
And a fully functional mini bar (right side) with Republican styled chairs.
Both the mini bar and the Meeting stand were done with rustic wood and roofed with palm frond, an ancient technique developed by Cuban natives and further used by Spanish settlers and creole Cubans.

In fall 2012, DOT cut the ribbon on a comprehensive redesign of Manhattan’s Delancey Street on the Lower East Side. One of the latest in a series of safety projects citywide, the project shortened pedestrian crossings at 14 locations, increased pedestrian space and crossing time, and enhanced signal timing and travel lanes for vehicles entering and exiting the Williamsburg Bridge.
The redesign adds more than 21,000 square feet of pedestrian space along the street, restricts several vehicle turns and also makes travel lanes more consistent. A new vehicle access point at Clinton Street also simplifies the connection from the FDR Drive, eliminating the need for vehicles to travel through residential streets to reach the bridge via Norfolk Street.
