This whole series is of a car I had never seen before, the 1934 Auburn 652Y. And here is it's story. The Auburn line saw a drastic redesign for the 1934 model year. This was to be the final design done for the Auburn Automobile Company by Alan Leamy. The 1934 Auburns were wider, lower, and more streamlined than their predecessors. Production of the cars was slow, and momentum did not reach full levels until March of 1934. Due to sales resistance to the new cars, plans were made to put the 1935 line into production as soon as tooling could be put into place. 1934 Auburn production was halted mid-year and only around 4,000 vehicles were produced.

Financially, the Auburn Automobile Company did worse than in 1933, posting a net loss of $3.6 million for the 1934 calendar year.

The Auburn 652Y was available as a cabriolet, phaeton, 2-door brougham, and a sedan. Pricing ranged from the mid-$800's - $945. The engine is a six-cylinder Lycoming powerplant that displaces 209.9 cubic-inches and produces 85 horsepower. The Auburn 652 was powered by a six-cylinder engine that was mated to a three-speed gearbox. They had a two-speed rear axle and four-wheel hydraulic brakes with power assist. This was one of the last models to be created by the Auburn Company, as they went out of business just a few years later, in 1936. Very few were ever made.

The success of the vehicles and the survival of the company up to this point was due mostly to Erret Lobban Cord. The Auburn Company had come into existence in 1877 producing wagons. In 1903 the direction of the company switched to creating automobiles, their first being a one-cylinder chain-driven runabout. The styling and diversity of the vehicles evolved over the years, as did the mechanical capabilities and technological innovations. The Great Depression had taken its toll on the Auburn Company and was headed to receivership when it was rescued by William Wrigley. E.L. Cord was recruited to assume the duties of the general manager. This fast-talking, energetic, salesman, though less than thirty years old, was the right man for the job. By applying new paint to a parking lot of excess vehicles, Cord was able to sell over 750 cars in just a few months. This earned him the title of vice president and in 1926 he became president and primary stockholder of the Auburn Company.

Throughout the next few years, the Auburn/Cord Company would experience highs and lows.

By expanding its dealer network and building a reputation through motorsport accomplishments, the Auburn Company was able to sell 20,000 vehicles a year by the close of the 1920's. In 1931, Auburn sold 32,301 vehicles. The Stock Market Crash and the onset of the Great Depression meant that for 1933 only 4,636 vehicles were sold to customers. 1934 was also a very disappointing year for the company, selling 4,703 units.

E.L. Cord made the decision to spend half a million dollars to redesign the entire Auburn model line. This did little to inspire sales so Cord ordered a second redesign, this time under the direction of Gordon Miller Buehrig. This redesign was first seen in June of 1934 as a 1935 model. The most memorable of these new vehicles was the stunning 851 Speedster.

The Auburn 6 Series was introduced at this time offered as a low-cost alternative powered by a 210 cubic-inch six-cylinder engine.

The redesign of the Delft train station started in 1999. The project's goal was to move the two tracks underground in order to reduce noise pollution in the tiny, quaint city centre. In 2015 the new station building opened and trains ran successfully through the new tunnels. By 2020, they aim to have the old infrastructure (platforms and viaduct) removed.

Deconstruction of the old platforms is underway. I shunted a barrier aside to take this.

At the same time, the city wants to restore the canal which used to run along side the old tracks. This is a huge project and something only the Dutch could handle with such ease. Seriously impressive.

This is the view from the rear of the station area, facing the city centre. The building in the mid-ground is the old station hall which was in operation from 1847 until 2015.

The USA has gotten too big - the solution - divide it into more cohesive nations - Pacifica, Redneckistan, and the New American Republic.

Keep redesigning! An update to my update of Space Patrol #6803.

Refold/redesign of Linnaeus' Leaf Insect. Antennae were made to more realistic length, tarsi were lengthened, pretarsal bifurcation added. The back still needs some work, but I think it's moving in a more realistic direction. Takes 3x longer to fold now. ;)

After doing some shopping at the fantasy faire, I decided to update Dawn!

Using Soul's Gyouko Ceredil, Gauze and Trap's Hooves and Zeva Horns, Trap and Illusions Pierced Gelf Ears, Cole's Corner's awesome auras, Magika's Please Hair, Fallen God's AGARWAEN face tattoo, Devae. Lupine Eyes, Aii's Bento Devil Tail, and Catwa Head. Whew!

I like the design of the Resistance Bomber from Episode 8 but I (as well as many others) felt that it wasn't really practical.

So I tried to modify the design to make it a better suited craft for the resistance or rebel fleet.

The fuselage remains the same but is downscaled considerably. The Bomber is outfittet with more powerful engines (for it's size) and comes with a powerful missle launcher. Maneuverability is also enhanced due to a large stabilizer wing in the front. The crew consists of a pilot, a copilot/gunner and an engineer.

Redesigned around the roadwheels. Cheers!

Now that there's more photos of the armor I was able to do it in the appropriate colors and in a smaller size.

While thinking about what I should build next, I realized that I've never built a plane before; so here's my first-ever serious plane - the iconic P-51 Mustang. I ended up sacrificing some aesthetic quality on the backs of the wings for stability, so this MOC is actually quite swooshable!

Frankly, i dont have time for digital building anymore and creating complete new designs - the T3 edit from 2 years ago has been on my list for a while now, glad i finished it during the last months. Might be my last pair of renders for quite some time to come...

After Star Wars Days and seeing how old my ATAT's looked against Shooting Stars ATAT, I decided I needed to do a major overhaul. One leg done, this is going to take some time to redesign the entire ATAT. If I am going to have 3 of these for my display, I got a lot of leg work to do! Still waiting for the 10x10 dishes that I will actually use to arrive.

It's been three weeks since I've built something, so this was refereshing. Colors are funky-ish.

Anyways, it's a redesign of a Nuhvak-Kal, which was supposed to be a machine that held these parasite thingies called krana in them (yeah, boring storyline stuff). Said holding mechanism. It's also for a contest over on BZPower.

Oh, and Gallery when moderated.

This is for the Millennium Falcon contest on The Brothers Brick. I did some restyling of the design, smoothed it out, and added some curves. Colours are inspired by some retro space toys I saw, Gi-Joe and such.

One of my first digital MOCs was a Corellian gunship in playscale.

After three years I decided to revisit my dated design and to give it a makeover.

Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

.

Originally Lahore Stadium, the facility was renamed in 1974 in honour of the former Libyan leader Colonel Muammar al-Gaddafi following a speech he gave at the 2nd Organisation of the Islamic Conference meeting in Lahore in favour of Pakistan's right to pursue nuclear weapons. The stadium houses the headquarters of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

In 1995–96, the Gaddafi Stadium was renovated by architect Nayyar Ali Dada for the 1996 Cricket World Cup. Dada's redesign was done in the Mughal style, with red, hand-laid brickwork and arches. Dada also had plastic seating installed in place of the existing concrete benches. The lower portion under the stands was enclosed and converted to shops for boutiques and offices. Gaddafi Stadium was the first in Pakistan to be equipped with modern floodlights having their own standby power generators. On 23 October 2011 the Pakistan Cricket Board discussed renaming the stadium following the death of Gaddafi, to support NTC and Libya. The Punjab Olympic Association made a similar request in late October 2011 to the provincial chief minister, telling Cricinfo:, "I don't think his profile is inspirational enough to link with our cricket stadium's identity." As of April 2012, however, it does not appear that the stadium's name will be changed after all.

Pakistan has enjoyed some memorable moments on the ground, including a fifth-wicket stand of 281 between Javed Miandad and Asif Iqbal against New Zealand in 1976 and an innings and 324 run win against New Zealand in 2002. The stadium hosted the final of the 1996 World Cup, which was watched by over 60,000 spectators. However, despite the impressive capacity, the ground is often sparsely attended for Test matches, with sometimes as few as 1000 fans turning up. One-day internationals are more popular and crowds in excess of 20,000 are common.

On 3 March 2009, the scheduled third day of second Test of 2008–09 Sri Lanka tour of Pakistan, the Sri Lankan team's convoy was attacked by armed militants at Liberty Roundabout, near Gaddafi stadium. Eight Sri Lankan players were injured, including Sri Lankan captain, Mahela Jayawardene. The Sri Lankan team was air-lifted from Gaddafi Stadium to a nearby airbase, from where they were evacuated back to Sri Lanka.

Made a few upgrades to an old model, to make it more accurate. The turret now rotates, though you have to force it a bit, the "treads" on the side no longer slope downwards, and I made some improvements to the hatch on the back.

Still alive, still creating stuff. I have a few things that I'm working on finishing.
