Potato pizza! (On the left; the right is a regular pizza with red sauce and Daiya cheese.) A mashup of two recipes: Rosemary Potato Pizza and Potato Pizza. Not bad, but a little on the dry side. Next time, I think I'll try some cheddar mashed potatoes under the potato slices for added moisture. Thoughts?

Shane had his team lunch at The Foundry today and was nice enough to bring me some LEFTOVER VEGAN PIZZA. WITH DAIYA CHEESE. Damn what a mighty fine...pie.
Red sauce, mozzarella Daiya cheese, black olives, sundried tomatoes and Smart Pepperoni on a cornmeal crust.

Red Sauce was inspired by the Italian American restaurants found in New York (especially Rao’s) and Chicago in the 1950s. Scott had actually fallen for name around the time he came up with Acadia; and the concept has been in the works since. The couple had considered looking for a second space but saw the opportunity to make a change at the end of last year closing Acadia to relaunch to this casual concept.

NOMy vegan pizza made with a little help from The Perfect Pizza Press!

Loved the milky, creamy look (really attractive). Nice kick but rounded (as in slightly mellow versus sharp bite or saccharine sweetness I've encountered in commercial varieties).
This one was really good.
Chicken meat ball seasoned with preserved lemon rosemary and black pepper. Pasta nest with a powdered "red sauce". We put tomato and garlic into our dehydrator then ground them in a spice grinder. the "sauce" was then sprinkled on. The green is micro arugala then a couple of drops of reduced balsamic. The dried tomato is so sweet.
Flavored with Mediterranean herbs, sun dried tomatoes, garlic and cured olives, this Dutch cheese were the perfect complement to chardonnay wine. The wine and cheese were consumed while preparing a homemade red sauce for the Chicken alla parmigiana main course.
Ingredients:
Stuffing:
Spinach (frozen, chopped, drained, squeezed)
Onion
Garlic
Olive oil
Mascarpone cheese
Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
Seasoning (salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper)
Béchamel sauce:
Flour
Butter
Milk (2%)
Nutmeg (freshly grated)
Tomato sauce:
Tomatoes (canned, diced)
Onion (chopped)
Garlic (finely chopped)
Red wine (Cabernet Sauvignon)
Balsamic vinegar
Honey
Herbs (thyme (fresh, chopped), oregano (dried))
Seasoning (salt, black pepper)
Assembly:
Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
A homemade veggie lover's pizza - with broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sundried tomatoes, black olives, red sauce and mozzarella Daiya cheese - on a whole wheat flaxseed crust.

Another brew previously unknown to me, and yet another excellent product. Tappet Volante is a "blonde"-style brew - great match to white and red pies alike.

(A little heathier than the Hot Pockets the teenagers eat now and no preservatives)

1846 Menabrea was an excellent lager similar to some of the best Chech brews. It was quite fruity, and matched red pizza perfectly.

Pasta nest with a red sauce made from shallot, garlic fresh roma tomato home grown oregano, red chilli.
10 count jumbo shrimp pan roasted in smoked paprika. Finished with basil and cherry tomato. A small amount of lemon zest on the rim to enhance the seafood.
The weather here has been crappy the last few days and needed a pasta fix.

September 20, 2019 - Combo plate #2 at San Jose. My wife had to work, I didn't feel like cooking, so I ate at San Jose.
