Yesterday was warm (finally) and I decided to work on my sewing outside. I saw this red fox walking across the backyard (yes, he does have the white tip on his tail, you just can't see it in this photo). By the time I ran in and got my camera, and changed the lens, he was on his way out. I did try to follow him off into the woods to see where he goes, but he was having none of that.
My first Red Fox shot. This one let me get out of the car and take some shots before it casually sauntered into the bush behind it.
Included in the comment box are shots of White-tailed Deer and Horned Larks.

Taken in our Maineville, Ohio backyard 2-1-07. I had to crank the ISO all the way to 1600, due to the lighting conditions.
"Trick or Treat, smell my feet..."
This is what I imagine the pup on the bottom is saying to annoy its sibling.

I normally travel hundreds of miles to photograph wildlife, but this little chap appeared on the field behind my house :)
It was a mad rush when the neighbour phoned to say she had seen it. The sun was in the wrong place and just about to set so did the best I could. Hopefully it will be back when the light is better.
I was in the neighborhood of one of the fox dens I'm watching and stopped by. As it was afternoon, I didn't expect much
Patch curled up on next door's patio, which he adopted as a new resting place for a little while. This particular evening he seemed quiet and unprepared for even standing up to get his chicken, waiting till I'd thrown two pieces out before moving and then, rather than making off with both, eating each separately and curling up for a while between them. He seemed fit and well, I've no idea what was in his head.
