A Red-Chested Sunbird shows off its iridiscent plumage of an amazing array of colours, varying as the sun's light strikes it at different angles...

A red Gerbera daisy (scientific genus name Gerbera) from my wife's flower garden. That's really red. You can see some of the reproductive parts in the small disc flowers, around the center.
Thanks for looking! Isn't God a great artist?
This is a picture of a female Red Kangaroo. This female has a Joey (baby) that has its head in her pouch to suckle. There is also another baby (pouch young) in her pouch that would be suckling on another nipple. I like this shot as it shows the Kangaroos in their bush context. This is the kind of habitat they live in.
These shots were taken at Pinnaroo Memorial Park. This is a very special memorial park near us that doesnt do burials but you can have plaques placed in the native bush setting. Its a magical place where the wild kangaroos roam wild and early morning and evening you can see them grazing on the grass around all the remembrance plaques and then during the day they retreat into the surrounding bushland. Its in the bushland that I captured these roos. This memorial park is a magical place.

This past Sunday seemed to mostly be about old barns and snow. It was still snowing when I took this shot and of course we were riding down the road at top speed. LOL I really liked this barn because of the pretty green doors and the fact that someone parked that bright red horse trailer in front of them. :) Hope everyone is enjoying a nice midweek sort of day!
This Red-winged Blackbird was seen singing out LOUD at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Reserve. I love their energy !
(I brought up the shadows just a touch, but didn't alter the saturation. The strong light passing through the leaves made them glow.)

After travelling to Minnesota for many years I finally was able to get a decent shot of this beautiful bird and I'm very happy about it 😊

A lovely red Dahlia, shot in the Dahlia Garden at Bayard Cutting Arboretum State Park on Long Island in New York. We did not record the variety. The garden is maintained by the Long Island Dahlia Society (LIDS).

Spent the day looking for wildlife and seen two fox, one a cross fox and this red fox. The cross fox ran off before I could get a picture, but it was beautiful. This was taken about 30 miles northeast of Fairbanks in whats known as Chatanika Valley. It is an old mining district with a Gold Dredge and the old FE Gold camp located nearby. There is still a lot of active gold mines in the area. I prefer the wildlife over the gold even though I'll never get rich from photography.
The fox looks healthy however, the fox's left eye, (right eye as viewing the photo) looks like it might be blind. The fox was hunting in the fresh snow for rodents but didn't find any while it was close to me.
