Went up to Blagdon in Northumberland on Sunday. As we drove in, we couldn't believe how lucky we were.

This Red Squirrel was giving excellent views and we didn't have to wait - very unusual in the world of wildlife photography!

They are red hot!

Getting it dried for homemade rasam, a South Indian curry.

This seems strange that on a holiday, you would go to a cemetery... twice. But this was to photograph the Red Squirrels that are resident there and wild. They are apparently becoming more and more tame... these came to within a few metres.

Hope that you like it and all comments and criticisms are welcome.

Red is any of a number of similar colors evoked by light consisting predominantly of the longest wavelengths of light discernible by the human eye, in the wavelength range of roughly 630–740 nm. Longer wavelengths than this are called infrared (below red), and cannot be seen by the naked eye. Red is used as one of the additive primary colors of light, complementary to cyan, in RGB color systems. Red is also one of the subtractive primary colors of RYB color space but not CMYK color space. Sometimes certain shades of red are even used to symbolize anger, or aggression.

Who knew? I just liked the colour...

2 sb25 flashes. One in homemade softbox behind the glass (cannot see in shot) at 1/2 power. A back piece of foam core was used as the background with the softbox surrounding the foam core. The second flash was at 1/4 power with a grid spot to create spotlight effect behind the glass. A glass plate and black fabric under the glass plate was used to create the reflection. I poured the and pressed the shutter release at the same time.
