Red is any of a number of similar colors evoked by light consisting predominantly of the longest wavelengths of light discernible by the human eye, in the wavelength range of roughly 630–740 nm. Longer wavelengths than this are called infrared (below red), and cannot be seen by the naked eye. Red is used as one of the additive primary colors of light, complementary to cyan, in RGB color systems. Red is also one of the subtractive primary colors of RYB color space but not CMYK color space. Sometimes certain shades of red are even used to symbolize anger, or aggression.
Who knew? I just liked the colour...
View On Black - It is very much better on black.
The red-headed vulture (Sarcogyps calvus) is also known as the Asian king vulture, Indian black vulture or Pondicherry vulture[2] (though there are unrelated species in the New World which share the names king vulture and black vulture). It is mainly found in the Indian Subcontinent, with small disjunct populations in some parts of Southeast Asia.
Very curious young fox...and very friendly. We had two juvenile foxes in the area and this one was the sociable one.

This was a little project that turned into more work that it should have. I ended up having to make too many orders from bricklink.com, and one that took way too much time.
Hope you all enjoy. More pictures can be seen at www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=thirdwigg.
I'm stuck in the house at the moment with a bad chest infection so thought I'd try an indoor flower shoot.
Getting the light right is the hardest part, I was either washing out the colours and textures or getting some very harsh shadows. In the end I went with a natural side light from moving closer to the window, but its still pretty harsh.
Now I know why people use/make full on light boxes and have 3000 flashes!
Taken at my friend's condo. I loved the red wall and her vase of willows, and couldn't stop taking photos of it.
This vixen was amazingly habituated to people and visited our cottage most days, probably in hope of finding some tasty morsels left unattended.
Roses are starting to bloom with all the rain we are getting. HFF
Have a great weekend ahead.

This red mite was captured on April 11 while exploring spring in our woods, with iPhone and Olloclip Macro Lens. Edited on the iPad with Snapseed.
It seems there are all kinds of Red Mites out there. They are very tiny. I often see them weaving in and out of the moss beds or crawling on the concrete flower bed spacers on campus.
Their color is very hard to get as most cameras over saturate the red and details are lost, especially in the sunlight.
This one moved quickly away into the leaf litter. I have read that some variety of them are chiggers when they are young and yet another sort and be a problem for chickens, while others are not a pest at all.
I have no idea what sort this one is. Maybe a Red Velvet?
